Revealing mistake: At the beginning, when people are walking through the metal detector and on the screen it shows them nude, the background is different on the screen. For example, the screen shows two people sitting down, but there are no people sitting down. (00:02:35)
Revealing mistake: A patient is being battered the hell out of by six doctors with clubs at the mental hospital. The clubs are obviously made out of rubber since they are seen flapping all over the place. (00:08:50)
Revealing mistake: At one point during the scene in the mental hospital when the doctor is talking to Stryker, a nurse in the background is inserting a tube into a patient's mouth, but if you look closely, you can see a separate funnel where the tube is actually going. (00:09:40)
Revealing mistake: When the little girl runs towards her grandmother and knocks another old woman out of the way, the other woman crashes into the wall of the terminal and it wobbles, showing it's a thin set wall. (00:14:35)
Visible crew/equipment: At the start, when the airplane cleaner goes into the airplane and he's listening to "Car Wash" and Dunn checks gravity mode, you can see the wires holding the airplane cleaner up. (00:17:40)
Revealing mistake: The scared woman gets slapped by a long line of people at the trial. When the judge slaps her, the slap misses the woman but she still reacts to it. (00:27:45)
Revealing mistake: When Striker tells McCroskey that he is in the cockpit, McCroskey repeats the name many times and turns to the man behind him saying "Striker" one last time. The man then thinks he said "strike her", so he strikes the woman next to him. You can see the strike misses the woman but she still reacts to it and you can still hear it. (00:50:05)
Revealing mistake: When the reverend tells everyone that it's very likely they're all going to die, everyone starts a fight. During that fight a bald man with a purple tie and a white shirt can be seen punching a man on the row in front of him. Every time he punches him, the punch misses the man but he still reacts to it. (00:53:50)
Visible crew/equipment: When the passengers find out about the bomb and Striker tackles the man who has it, when the briefcase with the bomb in it goes in the air, you can see a string attached to it to pull it up. (00:59:25)
Continuity mistake: When the briefcase with the bomb goes in the air and the dog catches it, the dog is nowhere near the wall and he's jumping straight up the first shot of it. But the second shot of the dog, you see him jump off the wall to get it. (00:59:45)
Other mistake: When McCroskey gets the information about Joe Seluchi, he's told that Seluchi purchased life insurance and was impotent. McCroskey informs Ted about Seluchi and the bomb he's carrying but nothing else. When Ted confronts Seluchi, he mentions both the insurance and the impotence.
Revealing mistake: When Ted jumps over the wall of the Mental Home and lands on the grass, it moves under him and it's even a distinctly different colour from the rest of the grass, indicating it's a crash mat.
Continuity mistake: In the opening, when the dog is first seen, he's on a leash. Camera cuts and leash disappears.
Audio problem: When people are getting on and off the elevator to that loud music, the music stops before the elevator closes.
Continuity mistake: When Striker gets out of the truck after escaping the mental hospital, someone takes a picture. The same exact picture is SUPPOSED to be in the newspaper, but the poses are different.
Continuity mistake: When Elaine is trying to convince Stryker to pilot the shuttle, and his 'drinking problem' starts again, in one shot his shirt is fairly well drenched, the next shot it is drying out, then the next shot shows it drenched again.
Continuity mistake: At some point someone makes a comment about the events that happened in Airplane! the original. They mention that the aircraft involved in the incident was a Boeing 767. In fact, as is quite obvious from the exterior shots in the first film, it is a 707.
Deliberate mistake: When women are being shown naked by the x-ray machine, they look wrong. If the machine just sees through clothes, their breasts wouldn't look normal, but squashed together and supported by a bra.
Continuity mistake: In Mission Control, a boy thinks one of the screens is a video game. The plane graphic on screen starts spinning some time before the boy messes with the controls.
