Creepshow

Correction: Richard was effectively frozen by both fear as well as seeing the two people he murdered coming back for revenge against him; the fact that his handgun was ineffective on them was further evidence that he wasn't thinking rationally.

Corrected entry: In the final segment with the cockroaches, just after Pratt squashes a few roaches with his hand, he brings his hand up but there are no marks on his gloved hand.

Correction: This isn't even a deliberate mistake. He fully acknowledges that there are no marks on his hand. None of the bugs actually affect him until they have all disappeared, then re-emerged from within him. That's kinda the whole point, the bugs weren't there, the only bugs were in him.

Corrected entry: In the third story, the man drops a nickel under the stairs. Later, when he finds the coin, it's a quarter.

Correction: We only see a closeup of the coin once, and it is a quarter. And when the janitor mentions it, he refers to it as a quarter. We never see the coin being a nickel.

Revealing mistake: When Ted Dansen gets buried in the sand, there isn't any extra sand piled up that was displaced by his body being in the hole.

Trivia: "The Lonesome Death of Jordy Verrill" and "The Crate" were both based on stories Stephen King had previously written and published. (The original title of the Jordy Verrill segment was "Weeds.") The other segments, "Father's Day," "Something to Tide You Over," and "They're Creeping Up on You" were originals written specifically for the film by King.

Question: I heard that the marble ashtray that Bedelia uses to kill her father Nathan in the "Father's Day" segment appears in all the stories. Does anyone know the specific scenes it shows up in in the other ones?

Answer: Besides being in "Father's Day", it showed up in "The Lonesome Death Of Jordy Verrill" right next to the cash box at the Department of Meteors. In "Something To Tide You Over" on the nightstand next to Richard's bed. In "The Crate", it was on the writing desk when Henry writes the letter to Wilma. In "They're Creeping Up On You", Upson Pratt uses it as a soap dish. And in the epilogue, it appears on Billy's desk when he starts stabbing the voodoo doll.
