Kelly Lake: The first name of the character of Johnny Messner, Kelly, means 'warrior' in Gaelic.
Trivia: "Tears of the Sun" was originally going to be the subtitle of Die Hard 4.0. Bruce Willis told the film company he would commit to DH4 if he could use the subtitle for this film.
