Other mistake: During the fight in the outdoor market, while Jackie Chan is trying to use a wooden box to defend himself from a villain, notice that the knife the villain uses bends like rubber as it hits the box. (00:30:00)
Shanghai Knights (2003)
1 other mistake
Directed by: David Dobkin
Starring: Jackie Chan, Owen Wilson, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Donnie Yen, Aidan Gillen, Tom Fisher
Factual error: In the scene after Chan and Wilson crash their car into Stonehenge they walk away and the view is of a field and a beautiful blue sky. In the sky you can see an airplane vapour trail up on the left hand side of the screen. There were no airliners in 1890. (00:58:50)
Chon Wang: It's a puzzle box. I don't know how to open it.
Roy: What do you mean, you don't know how to open it? You just get a hammer and smash it open so you can see what it says.
Chon Wang: No. I must have patience. By the time I'm able to open it, I will be ready to read the message.
Roy: Oh, come on, Confucius, that's the corniest thing I've ever heard.
Trivia: In the final minutes of the film, Jackie Chan & Owen Wilson slide down the British flag that is draped over Big Ben clock tower. This is the same stunt performed by Pierce Brosnan & Michelle Yeoh in the James Bond film "Tomorrow Never Dies". The only difference is that in TND, they slide down a banner of the main villain's face. One possible explanation is that Jackie & Michelle have been known to compete with each other for the most daring stunts.

Answer: It is never really mentioned, but we can assume it is the home of some noble or "higher class" person, from all of the elaborate things.
