Continuity mistake: While in the back seat of the red station wagon, you can see a car coming up on the driver side of the vehicle about to pass them. Hank tells Earl to shut the hell up and it cuts to the driver who tells them not to use that language. The car that was about to pass them never does, it just vanishes. (00:58:55)
Continuity mistake: In the shoot-out scene with the white van, all the bullet holes are perfectly round when seen up close. But since the shots are fired in lots of different directions and not in a straight angle to the surface, most should be elongated. (01:14:45)
Continuity mistake: During the old fort shoot out, Hank, Earl, and Washington are driving off in the white van. One of the S.W.A.T. team guys shoots their front right tire and it goes flat. The van then crashes through a big dirty window and lands on its side. Now the front right tire is no longer damaged. (01:15:10)
Continuity mistake: After their tire is shot out, the van crashes through a big window. In the shot of it breaking through, you can see the van's headlights are off. Two shots later as it lands on its side and slides, one of the headlights is now on, and slowly fades off. (01:15:15)
Continuity mistake: At the fort shoot out, Hank shoots at a S.W.A.T. vehicle and hits the driver. Two bullet holes are shown on the windshield. The very next shot shows the vehicle begin to crash, and the bullet holes are gone. (01:15:40)
Continuity mistake: When Earl and Nash are fighting over the cliff, Nash tries to smash Earl's head by throwing a large concrete block at him. It sits there afterwards. You never see this block again in the spot they were fighting, not even when Hank drops the crane hook on the slab and launches Nash off it. The block should have been seen flying also. (01:18:45)
Continuity mistake: This happens twice that I can remember in the movie, the first time in the P.T.A, when Martin crashes through the house in his car, when he lands the hubcaps fly off the car, this is very visable, but when we see the car just a few seconds later, the hubcaps are back on the car. This exact thing happens again when Martin and Steve crash through the sign at the junkyard.
Answer: He was thrown in the solitary confinement for another 3 months, which makes it 9 months in prison.
