Easter egg: On disc 2, go to the Skynet Database (answer to the question is "Brewster") and select the first Information Stream "Human Archive Intelligence". You'll then have a list of profiles to access showing. To find the Easter egg you must go on John Connor's profile or Kate Brewster's profile. After opening the profile, characteristics of the character will start. Just as this happens, push the right button followed by the up button. A red square will be circled around the clip on the top right hand side of the screen. As this is happening, push play and you will see a behind the scenes clip of the actor or actress' time on set (depending which profile you access). If you access John Connor's profile you will see a clip of Nick Stahl's time on set as John Connor. If you access Kate Brewster's profile you will see a clip of Claire Danes' time on set as Kate Brewster.
Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003)
1 easter egg
Directed by: Jonathan Mostow
Starring: Arnold Schwarzenegger, Claire Danes, Nick Stahl, Kristanna Loken, Earl Boen
Character mistake: In the opening narration, John Connor says that he was attacked by the T-1000 when he was 13 years old. This is wrong. In Terminator 2, we see that John Connor is only 10 years old, as shown on the police computer when the T-1000 accesses it. (00:02:20)
John Connor: Do you even remember me? Sarah Connor? Blowing up Cyberdyne? Hasta la vista, baby? Ring any bells?
Terminator: That was a different T-101.
John Connor: What, do you guys come off an assembly line or something?
Terminator: Exactly.
John Connor: Oh man, I'm gonna have to teach you everything all over again.
Trivia: The cat lady's cat at the Animal Hospital is called Hercules. This is a tribute to Arnold Schwarzenegger who played Hercules in the 1970 movie, "Hercules In New York", his first film. (00:20:30)
Question: Can anyone tell me if Edward Furlong was asked to reprise his role as John Connor and why he didn't?

Answer: He was originally in talks - and by some reports, did appear on set for some period of time. While factual answers are in short supply (for obvious reasons), there appears to be a connection to his drug-use habits. For instance, he was checked into a hospital (LA Cedars Sinai) for what friends feared was a drug overdose in April 2001, and has been in and out of rehab over the years. Chances are the production company was unable or unwilling to get completion insurance.
