Continuity mistake: When Jim learns that the women are going to be forced to become sexual slaves, he barges into the room where they are at and screaming "We have no time, come on!" In the shot when they are physically leaving the room, Selena has her infamous machete in her hand while exiting. When they are in the hall ways running before all three are ambushed by the soldiers, the machete is gone from Selena's hand. (01:21:45)

Revealing mistake: When Jim is walking across the Westminster bridge and shouts "Hello?" for the first time, in the next shot you can see a blob on the bridge (right of picture). This is all that's left of a car going across the bridge, that wasn't painted out completely.

Visible crew/equipment: On the shot of Jim walking across Westminster bridge there are visible crew/members of public on the right of the shot at the end of the bridge. (00:09:30)

Factual error: In the scenes driving to Manchester the motorway is completely clear of traffic, no abandoned vehicles of any sort. With an outbreak like this happening the motorway would be gridlocked.

Visible crew/equipment: When Jim is looking at all the notes on the wall, the camera pans in for a close up and you can see its shadow move over Jim's shoulder. (00:12:10)

Other mistake: When Jim, Selena, Frank and his daughter enter the supermarket, you can notice all the fresh produce (apples, carrots etc) looking fresh. This virus has been going on for a few days now, and supermarkets get their fresh produce out immediately. After 10 days or so, give or take, the fresh produce shouldn't be looking this fresh. Plot hole: When someone is in a coma for 28 days, the hospital would have AT LEAST have catheterized said person, however when Jim wakes up in the hospital he is not attached to anything but an IV.

Suggested correction: What happened when Jim was admitted is never revealed. Being that there is nothing to show what happened when he was admitted its impossible to say certain procedures would have been followed or more simply the hospital might have not undertaken them. More importantly we don't know when the virus hit certain areas. In addition Jim was taken in around the time the virus was first starting to spread and hospitals would be the most likely place someone infected would be taken to so many working or staying there would have been the first to have been infected. With that scenario the staff at the hospital might have neglected some of their patients because of how quickly the virus spread.

Lummie

If the hospitals would have been some of the first infection sites, why would Jim have survived the entire 28 days? I doubt someone was refilling his IV on a regular schedule if the patients are becoming violent animals, which would suggest he would have died of dehydration before starvation would have gotten to him. Also, why would those infected ignore Jim while he was comatose? Would it not be 'sporting'? Given how instinctual they seem to become I don't see how comatose would be any different from intoxicated or deeply asleep. Did all of those sorts avoid infection as well?

Revealing mistake: After Mr. Bridges and his daughter are killed, Selena asks Jim if he was bitten. When he says "no", Mr. Bridges can be seen moving slightly, who is lying on the floor in front of Jim. (00:28:30)

Jim: No, no. No, see this is a really shit idea. You know why? Because it's really obviously a shit idea.

Question: Aren't distances in Europe designated in kilometers? Col. Henry West says he and his men are located 27 miles NW of Manchester. I figured he'd use the equivalent distance in kilometers,43 km. Is this common in Europe to use either measurement?

Answer: The metric system is used in mainland Europe, but very rarely in Britain. Road signs are still measured in miles in Britain, and distances usually are too.
