Continuity mistake: When the helicopter has crashed you see it lying close to the wall. Later it has moved out further from the wall. (00:11:25 - 00:12:40)

Continuity mistake: When Chucky is thrown down the skull mountain in the horror house, he falls face down towards the fan. But when he lands in it, he's not only face up, but the amount of damage to his face that he received earlier on has changed as well. (01:21:05)

Factual error: When the school starts the war games and Chucky switches the paint rounds for live ammo and a few people get shot, this is impossible because those types of guns have been modified so they can't fire live rounds. Other mistake: Chucky cuts Andy's Achilles tendon from under his bed. Throughout the rest of the movie, Andy should have a limp from such a severe injury. However, he has no trouble walking or running in subsequent scenes, nor does he show any signs of injury.

Plot hole: No amusement park ride company would ever produce a prop scythe that was as sharp as depicted in the movie.

Other mistake: During the breakfast scene, Sgt. Botnick tells Andy he needs a trim on Wednesday, but he had just given him a haircut the previous day.

Other mistake: When Charles is thrown away and gets dumped in the back of the garbage truck, he screams for the garbage man who hears him and jumps in. There's no way he could have heard Charles screaming or the cadets hear the garbage man screaming from the marching field. Front loaders are loud and nearly impossible to hear screaming even near the truck.

Character mistake: When Chucky is looking up the information about Andy on the computer, the word juvenile is misspelled "juvinile."

Plot hole: At some point during the war games exercise, headquarters would have eventually discovered Sgt. Botnick's body, and then they would have immediately stopped the exercise.

Andy Barclay: What are you doing?
Whitehearst: Polishing Sheldon's shoes.
Andy Barclay: He makes you polish his shoes?
Whitehearst: No, I offered out of the kindness of my heart.

Trivia: Minor Spoilers for "Cult of Chucky." Series creator Don Mancini's original idea for "Child's Play 3" included multiple Chuckies. When Chucky's blood is accidentally mixed into the molten plastic, every single doll the assembly line produced was going to be possessed by Chucky's spirit. The idea was dropped for time and budgetary reasons, so only the first doll produced had his soul inside of it. Mancini always loved the idea, and was later able to implement a variation of it in the seventh film, "Cult of Chucky." (Although in that film, Chucky is able to possess multiple hosts at the same time thanks to a spell that more-or-less copy/pastes his spirit).

More trivia for Child's Play 3

Question: At the beginning of the movie, the entire Good Guy factory is completely covered in dust and cobwebs because of not being used in eight years. What caused the factory to close for such a long time? Nobody believed Andy when he said that his Good Guy doll was possessed by Chucky. And even though Andy said Chucky was responsible for so many murders in his doll form, people most likely wrote it off as a child's overactive imagination and that wouldn't be enough to close down the factory.

Answer: The public believes that the Good Guy doll that committed the murders had simply malfunctioned, which caused great negative publicity for the company. The public does not believe Andy or his mother's claims that the doll was possessed by a serial killer and was actually alive. In Child's Play 2 the company finds and reassembles the doll to prove to shareholders that the Good Guy doll is safe. This backfires and the doll is re-possessed, which leads to additional murders in that film crippling the company for 8 years.
