Child's Play 3 (1991)
Plot summary
Directed by: Jack Bender
Starring: Brad Dourif, Justin Whalin, Jeremy Sylvers, Perrey Reeves, Travis Fine
It's been eight years since the events in the second film, we now see that Andy (Whalin) is a teenager who has been enrolled in a military school. Play Pals Toy Company decides to re-release its Good Guys line, feeling that after all this time, the bad publicity has died down. As they re-used old materials, the spirit of Charles Lee Ray once again comes to life. In his search for Andy, Chucky (voiced by Brad Dourif)falls into the hands of a younger boy called Tyler (Sylvers), and he realizes that it may be easier to transfer his soul into this unsuspecting child. Andy is the only one who knows what Chucky is up to, and it's now up to him to put a stop to it.
Andy Barclay: What are you doing?
Whitehearst: Polishing Sheldon's shoes.
Andy Barclay: He makes you polish his shoes?
Whitehearst: No, I offered out of the kindness of my heart.
Trivia: Chucky almost always loses his right hand/arm in the third act. In Child's Play, Andy's mom shoots it off. In Child's Play 2, Chucky tears it off to escape from a bar. In Child's Play 3, Andy cuts it off with a knife. In Seed of Chucky, his arms are cut off with an ax before he is beheaded. And in Cult of Chucky, one of the three Chucky's loses his right arm shortly before the climax. Of the seven films, five have Chucky losing either his right hand or entire right arm in the final thirty minutes.
Question: When Chucky is loading the guns with real ammo instead of paint, why would a military school store or even use live rounds?
Answer: They would have live rounds for use on the ranges. The real issue is that they'd also have it drummed into them to personally check the ammo of any weapon handed to them so the shooting should never have happened.
