Factual error: Early in the movie, the Dauphin receives another letter from Joan (or her writer). The only person who ever wrote to the Dauphin about Joan was Robert du Baudricourt, and he wrote one letter, and it was about Joan, not for her.
The Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc (1999)
1 factual error - chronological order
Directed by: Luc Besson
Starring: John Malkovich, Milla Jovovich, David Bailie, Edwin Apps, Rab Affleck, Stephane Algoud
Visible crew/equipment: While young Joan is lying in the field next to the sword, in the far right corner you can see a pair of legs and a camera lens pointed at the actress. (00:06:35)
Joan of Arc: I did not come here to perform tricks. You're all much cleverer than I am. Me, I don't know A from B. But this much I do know. That while the people of France lie bleeding, you sit around in your fine clothes trying to deceive me, when you're only deceiving yourselves. You say you are men of God. but you do not see His hand in having guided me through 500 leagues of enemy country to bring you His help. Is that not proof enough? Do you still need more signs?
