9. 1/10. My third favorite in the franchise. The idea of Freddy seemingly having beaten Springwood, wiping out all their children is interesting. Then adding the idea he had a daughter makes it even better. Robert Englund delivers yet again as Freddy Krueger. I enjoyed the performance of Lisa Zane as his daughter, viewing her as the best heroine of the franchise. The rest of the cast I disliked especially Lezlie Dean. She seemed like the type who only did the movie to pad her resume. Still it's a fun romp, real good with Englund's last great performance as Freddy to come in Freddy vs Jason in 2003.

Revealing mistake: When John tries to stop the van while Maggie is driving, because he sees the small girl in the road, as the van screeches around the road, you can see the road is covered in tyremarks from previous takes. (00:20:10)

Question: When John Doe is at the shelter and is dreaming about walking up stairs, how is he able to walk on air in the real world? At this point in time, John isn't even in Springwood anymore so the whole altering-reality-through-dreams thing shouldn't work here. Also, how did John get from being in the air to being back on the ground when the security guard catches up to him? And why didn't the guard see John in the air?
