Continuity mistake: RJ and Jason have just dumped all the garage junk in the conveniently spare uninhabited house the kid happens to know of. When Jason says "You go ahead, RJ" they are both suddenly sitting in different positions than before. (00:46:30)
Continuity mistake: When Jason stares for the first time at "sensei Lee" (who does not look like Bruce Lee, who not being japanese can hardly be called a 'sensei'), his posture is different between shots, and so is the shadow that the 'ghost' casts on him. (00:49:25)
Continuity mistake: When Bruce Lee writes on the wall a Chinese character, the hand in close-up is casting a shadow towards the right, and in the shot with the actual actors the shadow is on the left. (00:50:10)
Continuity mistake: The ghost of Bruce Lee one-inch-punches Jason; he falls against the wall with his tie dropping between his arm and the body, but in the next shot the tie is on the outside of the arm. (00:53:25)
Continuity mistake: The patch of sweat on Jason's shirt gets bigger (from above to below the pecs) in the short walk from the training machine to the wooden dummy. (00:55:35)
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Jason's dad is bar tender pouring a beer for a customer. The level of the beer in the glass and the head size of the beer changes at least four times by the time he reaches the pool table. (00:59:10 - 00:59:50)
Continuity mistake: In his training with Sensei Lee, at one point he grabs Jason's leg in the air and asks him "what now?" Between shots Tae-jeong Kim 's hand gets further away from the knee, and Kurt McKinney's that was holding the leg itself is now on Lee's finger-pointing hand. (01:00:00)
Audio problem: During the training to defeat the champion from Soviet Russia, Bruce Lee says "This time I'll kick YOU", but the phrase is out of synch. (01:00:05)
Continuity mistake: When Tom Stillwell is being harassed by what looks like an overgrown Scott, the wet spot on his shirt and the messy hair on his forehead change as he walks away. (01:03:00)
Other mistake: Jason's dad is still limping heavily and barely makes it to the pool table to bring the beer. 20 seconds later he's dragging an angry and non-cooperative guy bigger than he is all across the beer joint, and even tosses him out of the door as he lands with a nice graceful flip like of course any drunk dudes would. (01:03:15)
Continuity mistake: At the bar where Jason's dad is working, the establishing shot shows already the drunk guy downing a drink, with the billiard balls set up in the traditional triangular shape that leads to the break shot. When we actually see the break shot though, the balls are not in the same formation. For instance, the green ball was the third one from the left in the bottom row, and it's the corner left in the overhead shot. (01:03:25)
Continuity mistake: When Jason is trying to kick a sandbag whilst one leg is suspended in a noose, the sand bag starts the scene about waist high, then is hoisted to the ceiling by Bruce Lee. Jason succeeds in hitting the bag in the next shot, but the bag is back at waist height. (01:03:35)
Continuity mistake: Sensei Lee tells Jason some mumbo-jumbo about seeing the impossible to make it happen. When he says "And know it can't be stopped" the light of the scene is different, going more or less from night to day. (01:03:45)
Continuity mistake: Jason finally kicks the suspended bag. He frees his foot from the noose, but he's in a different position and different is the height his leg is at and the band that tightens the noose. Even the photography and/or lighting, for no reason. (01:03:55)
Other mistake: Jason's reaction when he sees Bruce Lee walk back into the light is just silly. He perfectly sees him walk away, but he looks left and right and springing on his toes as if he were trying to look past an obstacle. Not investigate a doorway. (01:04:25)
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Bruce Lee is teaching Jason how to kick while his other foot is being held in a noose, Jason is wearing a grey jumper and black pants, however a shot is shown of Jason tightening the noose around his ankle while wearing a yellow tank top and a wrist band. Cut back to Jason and Bruce talking and not only is Jason wearing his grey top again but the noose has somehow managed to loosen itself. (01:04:35)
Continuity mistake: This mistake is in the scene where Jason finally manages to kick the sandbag with his foot in the noose. Before Jason performs the kick, there is a clear knot in the rope, however, in the slow motion shot, the rope is not knotted. Afterwards, the knot is back. (01:04:35)
Continuity mistake: When RJ sits on Jason's midriff he is eating a Popsicle with chocolate on it but in the next shot the chocolate its completely gone. (01:05:30)
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Jason does his own training by kicking and dodging the moving sandbags hanging down, he finishes by kicking each bag individually. Look closely - one of the bags is only being held together by a thread, so when Jason kicks it, the bag splits open quite easly. (01:06:45)
Other mistake: When by extraordinary luck Jason's mum can't go pick up dad exactly the day that he has to fight off a bunch of thugs, notice on the front of the car the fake Washington state license plate about to come off. (01:07:10)
