Continuity mistake: Near the end of the movie when Max is clearing a path for the plane he leans out of the right side of the vehicle preparing to jump clear of the impending crash. When it does show him jumping, he is jumping from the left side of the vehicle.

Directed by: George Miller, George Ogilvie
Starring: Mel Gibson, Bruce Spence, Tina Turner, Adam Cockburn
Max, Master, and several of the Gatherers (the lost children from the desert) crash out of Bartertown when Pigkiller commandeers the semi used to power Bartertown and drives it away down a disused set of railroad tracks. Aunty Entity and her minions follow in hot pursuit. Several kilometers down the track, Jedediah Junior has blocked the rails, preventing further escape in the semi; Max then finds Junior's father (Jedediah the Pilot) and strongarms him into flying them out in his triplane. Max sacrifices himself by using a truck to smash Aunty's vehicles out of the way, allowing Jedediah's plane to take off. Aunty's men find Max alive, and Aunty lets him live. Meanwhile, Jedediah, his son, Pigkiller, Master, and the Gatherers fly to a ruined Sydney, where they establish a new settlement. They leave the city's lights on at night for Max, who continues to roam the wastelands alone.

Max: We'll go on the count of three.
Max and Pig Killer together: One...
[Max yanks the door open.]
Pig Killer: What happened to two?
Trivia: Aunty Entity's name is never mentioned in the film. She is only referred to as just "Aunty."
Question: I find it interesting that part of the final chase is against a modified truck on a set of rails. I saw no rails in the wide shots of Bartertown, and no exits for the the truck. So, where was the exit, why use a modified truck for power when it was never cranked, and how did the kid know to be prepared for the truck, or any rail traffic, at all?

Chosen answer: The train tracks would have been covered by dirt for not being used for years. The truck was already cranked, as the engine was source for the generating power and lights. The exit was boarded up and the truck ripped through it. The kids were not prepared, but did observe what the adults were doing and could have been given instructions on what to do.
