Continuity mistake: While this movie is so bad and full of mistakes, its barely worth finding them all, one stands out in the history of movie mistakes. One of the officers on board the ship, Lt. Lamont, is killed by the villain. A few scenes later she shows up on the bridge as an extra.
Plot hole: When Kalgan is torturing Lea, he says that he wants her father's countermeasures in case of emergency. But when she is rescued and finds out MacPhearson is a traitor who is working for Kalgan, Captain Devers is worried because MacPhearson knows all of the ship's countermeasures. If MacPhearson knows the countermeasures, then Kalgon does too, so there is no reason to bring it up while he is torturing Lea.
Revealing mistake: Apparently filmed inside an old warehouse, heavy masonry walls can be observed during some scenes inside what is supposed to be a spaceship.
Audio problem: In the scene where Kalgan confronts third engineer Steve Godell on the catwalk, he laughs before saying the line: "third engineer Steve Godell?" The laugh begins while Kalgan is obscured by the set, and continues as he moves into the scene. As he steps from around the corner, you can see his mouth is closed and not moving at all, despite the fact that his laugh can still be heard for 3-4 seconds.
Other mistake: When Lea Jansen and Dave Ryder want to leave the room, which is called the "deep freeze", they hear Kalgon and his men coming and "hide" next to the door. When Kalgon and his men enter, the movie wants to tell us that they cannot see Lea and Ryder, although they are obviously in their field of view.
Continuity mistake: In the space battle in the beginning (where Dave Ryder tries to rescue Professor Spooner) the number of fighting spaceships varies from shot to shot.
Factual error: Near the end when MacPhearson tries to hide away from Dave Ryder in a large room, two men are running up a stairway one behind the other. MacPhearson shoots the one in front, which unrealistically, causes no reaction in the other man, who is directly running behind him, so MacPhearson can shoot him easily too.
Revealing mistake: David Ryder's spaceship has obviously no controls (can be seen before he beams out of it during the space battle in the beginning).
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Ryder and Lea speak with the mortuary keeper in the deep freeze room, you can see the frozen enforcer to the keeper's immediate right (in his close-up scenes) breathing.
Audio problem: In the scene where Kalgon is torturing Lea Jansen with a dental drill, you see it is some sort of laser, but you can hear a drilling sound.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Kalgan has one of the enforcers beaten up after fooling around with the Ballerians, two different actors can be seen playing the beaten-up enforcer. When Kalgan's sidekick thug pulls the guy off the table, he's a flabby guy with a bowlish haircut and a clean-shaven face. After Kalgan says "soften him up" and it cuts back to the beating, the guy is suddenly thinner, has longish feathered hair, and you can see a mustache when he moves his face to the right after the first punch.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where third engineer Steve Godell is confronted by Kalgan and jumps to his death (with Kalgan's help) from the catwalk, his glasses come flying off when he hits the floor. When the film cuts away and then cuts back to the paperwork falling on his face, his glasses are back on again.
Continuity mistake: When Ryder and Lea are leaving the disco to follow Kalgon, a laser gun appears in Ryder's hands out of nowhere.
Continuity mistake: When Ryder is beamed onto the southern sun, no fire extinguisher is behind him. Yet in the next shot, one appears just where he stood. The next shot there are about five at this place.
Visible crew/equipment: During the chase, following Lieutenant Lemont's death, several pyrotechnic rigs can be seen on the floors in the hallways.
Continuity mistake: When Lea tricks the guard into removing his jumpsuit, she presses a high-heeled boot against his stomach. When she escapes and is shown running up a ladder a few seconds later, the high-heeled boots have changed into flat boots that could not have come from the guard.
Other mistake: Throughout the movie some previously used shots have been edited in, most obviously the men with the fire extinguishers from the beginning or some scenes from the party.
