Directed by: Stephen Herek
Starring: Angelina Jolie, Tony Shalhoub, Edward Burns, Christian Kane
After doing an interview with Carol Connors in her dream job in New York, Lanie is told to meet with the president of the network (to discuss her promising future with the network) but she refuses and decides to go back to Seattle to be with Pete. As she is walking down the street, she is accidentally shot by a man who is resisting arrest by the police. Lanie is taken to the hospital, and when she wakes up, Pete is beside her. Jack's prediction of Lanie's death, in a certain way, did come true... because after waking up in the hospital, the part of Lanie that didn't enjoy life died. Lanie goes back to Seattle and lives with Pete and his son Tommy.
A.J.
Lanie: I met a homeless guy and he had a vision.
Cal: What like Espn?
Lanie: No, he had ESP! There's no N.
Question: Excluding plot device, when Lanie goes to see Prophet Jack a second time, why didn't she simply ask him how she was going to die?

Answer: Probably one of many reasons. It could be fear, denial, inevitability, accepting one's fate, and so on. Not many people want to know exactly when and how they will die.
