Bring it On

Continuity mistake: In the tryouts scene, the stripper's top suddenly changes between when she leans in towards Torrance and when she crawls across the table. [This is because in the extended version of the scene, she takes off the top to reveal she is wearing an even more revealing one under the first. Still a mistake, but there's the explanation.]

Continuity mistake: When Missy licks her finger during the try outs, to wipe the tattoo off her arm, her tongue is already black - she must have had to do previous takes of this shot.

Continuity mistake: When Aaron is confronting Torrance about quitting as captain, he hugs her and whispers in her ear, but in the next shot his head is further down on her shoulder, this happens twice.

Continuity mistake: During the carwash scene, when Cliff drives up in his dirty car, there are clumps of grass on it. In the next shot of the car, there is only dirt, no grass.

Continuity mistake: When the Clovers perform their routine at the finals, you can see that for different shots, there are different cheerleaders. The most supportive argument to this is that the team all have relatively dark-coloured skin. However, within this scene, there are shots with girls who have lighter skin doing the routine.

Continuity mistake: In the audition scene, Whitney closes her notebook after Missy's audition and in the next shot, it is open in front of her.

Continuity mistake: In the beginning when Aaron is talking to Torrance's parents, he offers to help Mrs. Shipman with her boxes. The camera cuts to her, and she is putting the top of what looks like two boxes in her car. The camera then cuts to Aaron, then back to Mrs. Shipman. When it cuts back to her, she is lifting the same box she had put in the car only moments earlier.

Continuity mistake: When Sparky is teaching the Toros his routine, Les' and Darcy's positions change between shots. She comes forward and he moves back and then visa versa.

Continuity mistake: When Missy is trying out for cheerleading the shot shows the tattoo Missy has from pen on her arm. The first shot looks like the tattoo is smudged a lot and then the camera switches from Torrance back to Missy and it looks like the tattoo is back to normal.

Continuity mistake: Cliff's tattoo changes shades from black to gray to black, sometimes even being an outline with very little shading.

Continuity mistake: During the National competition, the shadows from people and the stage behind them differ depending on the shot.O ne of the most noticeable ones is when there is a big shadow in front of the stage as the Toros come out, as though late on in the afternoon. The camera then cuts to the audiences perspective, and the shadows are facing the opposite way.

Continuity mistake: When Cliff and Torrance are brushing their teeth, Torrance's hair goes from being in a bun, and then when the camera moves there is a section of hair that has fallen out. When the camera returns to her front, her hair is perfect again. This happens more than once.

Continuity mistake: When the Clovers have finished their routine in the finals (while they're in their final position). In one shot they look white, instead of black, really weird, but check it out.

Continuity mistake: When the Toros get ready to perform at the Nationals, they show Torrance's family in the audience. When they show her family, Torrance's little brother has a cup in his hand. But when they show the brother's "cheerleading is death" shirt, the cup is gone.

Continuity mistake: When Aaron is driving Torrance to school, you can see she isn't wearing a bra. However, when she is in the changing room with the squad, she takes off her top, revealing a strapless bra.

Continuity mistake: At the final competition for the Clovers, when they do the full basket toss (twist), in the background the toss was thrown about 3 times until you actually see it.

Continuity mistake: About 15 seconds from the end of the Toros Regionals Routine, the male cheerleader to the behind left of Torrance drops his head to the side, and then drops it again. (00:57:17)

Continuity mistake: Just before the Clovers go on stage for the final competition, they are in a huddle, and the team captain's hair is in a ponytail, which is tightly curled to her head. As they run out on stage, her hair is in a ponytail, but is in loose long ringlets.

Continuity mistake: When the Clovers confront Missy and Torrance about Big Red's camera, the Clover's captain's hair keeps changing. In one shot it's behind her shoulders, in the next its in front of her shoulders. It does this again when the Clovers are writing to Pauletta.

Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the movie, when Aaron turns up in his car, Torrance's mum and dad are standing in the driveway at the back of their car. In the shot before Torrance runs out, and the next two shots the dads stance changes in each shot and the mum goes from holding the brief case in two hands to one hand.

Isis: You wanna make it right? Then when you go to Nationals... bring it. Don't slack off because you feel sorry for us. That way, when we beat you, we'll know it's because we're better.
Torrance Shipman: Oh, I'll bring it. Don't worry.
Isis: I never do.

Trivia: When Torrence, Les, Missy, and Jan are driving in Les' car after picking Missy up, watch Les. He is constantly looking in his rearview mirror. This is because there is a cop car pulling someone over behind them. (00:26:20)
