Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood

Continuity mistake: The scene where the AA couple is having sex in the van, the guy suddenly has shoes on when he exits looking for Jason. You see him supposedly putting on his pants under the covers, but no shoes.

Suggested correction: We don't see everything he does under the covers. Plus it cuts to the outside and showing him exit the van, but we are not given a time frame of how long he was in the van before he exit's it.

Revealing mistake: When Dan is gathering wood for the campfire, in the shot when he splits a log with his machete you can clearly see that it was already broken. (00:25:20)

Suggested correction: It also shows him swinging the machete once before breaking in half. A machete wouldn't be strong enough to cut the log in half with just 1 swing. The log was obviously being struck before it broke.

Continuity mistake: Outside the house when the last pillar on the porch breaks we can see Jason looking up and then to the side. When it cuts he looks up and to the side again. (01:12:30)

Mortug

Suggested correction: Because he's reacting to the noise and each part of the roof falling off each time.

Trivia: During his four-movie tenure portraying Jason, Kane Hodder actually put a lot of thought into the character, and developed what he thought Jason's personality would be in order to give himself motivation for the role. Hodder also created a strict set of rules that he would follow while playing Jason. For example, Hodder felt Jason would never hurt animals, since he had a childlike mind and wouldn't want to harm a creature he saw as inherently innocent. And more importantly, Hodder insisted that while he played the character, Jason would not harm or go after children, since he "drowned" as a child and recognizes them as being innocent like he was. While the rules do somewhat contradict earlier films, Hodder stuck by his guns.

Question: Why wasn't Jason recovered after Tommy drowned him at the end of part 6?

Answer: Jason was dead at the end of Part 6, the girl used her E.S.P. powers to bring him back to life.

Answer: Any answer is pure speculation, but my personal theory is that people just decided to turn their heads and look the other way. It seemed like Jason was finally dead at the end of part six, so authorities just decided to leave him where he was to rot. At least that's my theory.
