Continuity mistake: When Wynn is talking to Al about the mission to blow up the plant, Wynn puts his cigarette out in the ash tray in the scorpion bowl and there are 4 butts in the ash tray, but a minute later when the camera shows the 2 scorpions fighting, the ash tray has no cigarette butts in it. (00:11:19)
Continuity mistake: When the paramedics are draping the blanket over the body of Zack's dad, his head is tilted towards his left shoulder. When the shot changes, his head is now titled towards his right shoulder. Note: timecode refers to the director's cut. (01:05:15)
Revealing mistake: When the paramedics are covering Zack's dead father's head with the blanket, his left eye briefly twitches. Note: timecode refers to the director's cut. (01:05:19)
Continuity mistake: When Priest shoots Spawn and he stumbles into the kitchen, he drops his P90 by his leg. In the next shot, it has disappeared.
Continuity mistake: When Spawn is fighting with the clown, who is in his big reptilian monster form, Spawn is thrown against a fence with pointed tops. He is impaled against them, but the ones right next to him are shaking as if they were made of rubber, not of metal. In the next shot, the spikes are stiff and solid and made of metal.
Continuity mistake: When Cyan is given the clown doll at her party, it spins around and spits (or breaths) the green stuff and stops, but immediately in the next shot, the head has made a 180 Degree spin, which is impossible in that time.
Factual error: In the scene where Priest fires at Spawn from the balcony, a magazine can be seen sticking out of the bottom of Spawn's P90. This reveals it is a fake P90 shell on an Ingram Model 10. The P90 has a clear magazine that sits on the top of the weapon.
Factual error: In scenes where Spawn has the ammo belts over his chest (at the banquet and also before getting on the motorcycle), the rounds are of some very high caliber weapon. However, the only gun(s) Spawn carries is a P-90 submachine gun, which uses magazine-fed 5.7mm ammo. What are the ammo belts for if he isn't carrying a weapon that can use them?
Continuity mistake: When Spawn digs up his body, he finds the locket that says "forever" and screams. When he is done his arms are far apart, but in the next shot they are close together.
Factual error: Spawn's body has been burned, almost past the point of recognition. Why are his eyelashes so prominent?
Plot hole: Al Simmons' reasoning for wanting to quit A-6 is because he learns his rocket attack in his assassination mission in the beginning of the film yielded civilian casualties. This makes no sense, as he blatantly gunned down several innocent men in the air control tower just moments before.
Revealing mistake: During the final battle in hell, when the army of Spawns rise up, there are some small errors to look for. First, during a few shots where the army is closer to camera, you can see the CGI army becoming "pixely." Also, you can see at least one of the Spawn floating in the air, not standing on the platform with the rest of him. Problems with the CGI rendering/animation.
Continuity mistake: After the birthday party, when Clown and Spawn are in the alley, Al gets up and walks away and Clown follows. You can see two extras in the background walking away from them. When it cuts to the next shot (an extreme wide shot), suddenly the extras are much, much further back than they just were. (You can use the dilapidated car in the background for reference... in the first shot they are in front of it, but in the next, they're behind it).
Continuity mistake: When Clown farts in the alley and pulls out his underwear, his hand goes from his side to behind him instantly between cuts. (He starts to reach back in the first shot, but his hand is still at his side, and instantly in the next shot it's all the way behind him).
Revealing mistake: When Al picks up the locket from the coffin, it emits a sort-of ethereal, magical "glow." However, you can see where this glow simply "ends." There is a hard, square-shaped line around the glow where it simply stops. Poor blending of the effect. (This is best visible in the Blu-Ray, but is also visible in the DVD and VHS versions).
Continuity mistake: When Clown and Al arrive at the graveyard, after Clown says "This is where old folks go after Florida, son!," watch Al. He goes from being right near the ground to almost totally sat up instantly between shots.
Visible crew/equipment: When Al's arm is lit on fire, you can see what looks to be some sort-of sparking device on his arm that started the flame. It's not the cigarette that Wynn just threw... it's too big to be that.
Continuity mistake: When Al collapses in the alley and says "Feels like my skin is about to explode!", watch closely. In the first shot, he's about to flop down onto the right side of the stairway... but in the next shot, he collapses onto the left side.
Continuity mistake: In the director's cut, when Clown squeezes the cream out of the donut in the alley and says "What does this remind you of?", suddenly the donut vanishes from his hand in the next shot. He didn't put it down... it just disappears between frames.
Continuity mistake: After the birthday party, when Clown pulls off his clown outfit in the alley, he starts to throw it to his right side. However, two shots later, it's visible on the ground behind his left.
Chosen answer: He is squatting the entire time in every scene. The suit probably helped in ways to balance himself whilst squatting, so he could hold on much longer than normally.
