Jewel of the Nile

Continuity mistake: When Jack, Joan and the Jewel are trying to jump on the moving train, Joan is wearing slip-on shoes, however once she has jumped onto the train and falls over the side her shoes have changed to buckle sandals.

Continuity mistake: Towards the beginning of the movie (with in the first few minutes) when Joan and Jack are on the boat discussing their day, the amount of sunscreen on Joan's nose changes from a lot to not much and back to a lot again.

Continuity mistake: Jack stops water skiing and places a white towel around his neck. A frame later the towel is flipped and now looks red and blue with anchors on, the previous white part being on the back side.

Continuity mistake: Just before Jack throws the console out of the control room, he looks down at the scaffolding. There are two people climbing the scaffold. When he throws the console, there is only one.

Continuity mistake: When the bicycle man explains what the graffiti means, he puts a pot inside his basket next to another pot, but when the angle changes only the first pot is seen. Also, the position and number of blue woolen balls changes between shots.

Continuity mistake: During the initial wedding, Jack flies with a rope and crashes face towards some barrels, which roll down the deck. When the angle changes, the barrels are falling again and Jack has changed positions 180ยบ.

Sacha

Continuity mistake: While Jack pilots the plane, the noise and wind coming out of the turbines is either huge or none, without any logic at all.

Sacha

Continuity mistake: The Jewel walks on stage on a burning floor with flames at ground level, but in the close-up the flames are suddenly two meters high. Then cut to the previous angle and back to the ground-level flames.

Sacha

Continuity mistake: When Ralph is riding on the camel chasing the train, in the wide angles (with an obvious stunt) his clothes flutter. In the close-ups, with a fake background, the clothes remain still.

Sacha

Continuity mistake: The train is about to enter a tunnel and a "bump" is heard. We immediately discover it's Ralph crashed against the side of a tunnel. Problem is the camel has magically managed to face the opposite way and, what's even more magical, it's now been safely tied up by a big fat rope.

Sacha

Continuity mistake: From the shots around, the well is not quite big, with its edges almost near Joan and Jack's feet, but on the aerial shots (where it's an obvious blue-screen) its size is humongous.

Sacha

Continuity mistake: Ralph gets squashed by the donkey's butt near a dark, secluded stable, surrounded by stacks of hay. When he's rescued, the stacks are gone and the donkey's moved away from the place it was, but Ralph remains underneath him.

Sacha

Continuity mistake: When the guards chase the boy who's written on the wall, a biker falls on the ground and stares at the guards. A frame later his bike is already standing up again.

Sacha

Continuity mistake: Jack and Joan step off the dingy while Ralph spies inside a crate. The amount of net hanging out of it differs between shots and also a hand suddenly appears between one frame and the other.

Sacha

Factual error: There is absolutely no way to fit three people in the cockpit of a single seat F16 fighter. There is no large empty space behind the pilot's seat - there is a bulkhead, and behind that a rather obtrusive jet engine. Even the two seater training version of the F16 cannot accommodate three people - there is no space behind either seat large enough for a third person, which this mockup has.

Joan Wilder: Don't be ridiculous! Jack would never die without telling me.
Omar: Nevertheless, he's dead.

Question: Does anyone know where the idea for the Arab flag in the movie came from? Seems to me it resembles the Louisiana flag (the bird with the babies) except with no writing. Did anyone else notice this?
