After Jamie walks away from Landon, you can see the bus from an aerial view with trees on both sides and not a house in sight. (00:16:05 - 00:18:15)
Continuity mistake: When Landon asks Jamie for help memorizing his lines for the school play, the books she is carrying keep changing positions from her left arm to her right. (00:24:50)
Continuity mistake: When Landon and Jamie walk past each other in the school hallway, Jamie walks past a girl in yellow standing next to some lockers. In the next shot, Jamie walks past the girl again. (00:34:45)
Continuity mistake: When Landon goes to visit Clay in the rehab center, as he's walking in it's a bright sunny day. But once he enters the room, the weather through the window is dark and dreary. (00:35:05)
Continuity mistake: When Jamie sings "Only Hope", she's smiling and her head is tilted to the left as she sings about "your galaxies dancing and laughing, and laughing again." The shot then dissolves to Jamie with her head straight and looking to her right. (00:40:05)
Continuity mistake: In the first cafeteria scene, Jamie dismisses Landon's advances by closing her book and knocking it loudly on the table. In the next shot (camera faces Landon) she knocks her book a second time. (00:45:00)
Continuity mistake: Landon looks for Jamie and finds her at the cafeteria reading a book. He says, "Jamie, I'm trying really hard here", she then gets up and walks away towards the door, notice that her shoes are black. Immediately after that he follows her outside and catches her walking out the main door, her shoes are now white. (00:45:05)
Continuity mistake: In the cafeteria fight scene, Dean hands Landon the fake nude pic of Jamie. Next shot, Landon is no longer holding the pic and Dean is looking down before getting shoved. (00:52:25)
Continuity mistake: When Landon and Jamie are looking at the stars together, and he tells her he had a star named for her. A couple of seconds later she takes the paper showing the coordinates of the star and starts to sit down. The camera angle changes and shows her still in motion to sit down, but now the paper is nowhere to be seen.
Continuity mistake: When Jamie goes to the graveyard, Landon gets out of the car to catch up to her. When he catches her by surprise, her ponytail stays behind her back. When they show her again, Jamie's ponytail is draped over her shoulders. When they show her one final time, it's behind her back again.
Continuity mistake: When Landon goes to visit Clay in the rehabilitation center he's wearing a tan shirt as he's walking inside. Once he's inside, he has on a blue striped shirt.
Suggested correction: Landon walks into the clinic wearing a tan shirt, and when he's inside the clinic, he's wearing a tan, striped, button-up shirt, with a visible, grey T-shirt underneath.
Continuity mistake: When Jamie is singing in the play, her hair is down and goes from all/most of it over her shoulder to all behind her shoulders. This switches on and off.
Continuity mistake: When Landon drives Belinda home, his scar on his forehead is gone, but the next shot when he is waking up, it's there.
Continuity mistake: At the beginning when the kids go to the plant to jump into the water, as they walk away from the cars, the lights on the Camaro are on. When they run back, they are off.
Continuity mistake: The day after Landon and Jamie are practicing for the play, Landon meets up with his friends and is questioned, "Is everything okay?" Notice the outfits everyone in the group is wearing. Each person is wearing the very same clothes that are worn weeks later, when they are making the poster of Jamie. Though people realistically wear outfits over and over, here each person wears the same outfit on the same day.
Continuity mistake: In the scene after the play when Landon's father tries to talk to him, a man walks past them in a green shirt. In the next shot, the same man walks down the stairs behind Landon and his dad in the same green shirt.
Continuity mistake: When Belinda comes to Landon's house to give him the pictures from the school play, her hair is in a ponytail. From the back all her hair is in the ponytail, but when they show her talking from the front, you see a piece of her hair hanging down. They switch back and forth between the front and back shots, so it's easy to catch.
Continuity mistake: When Mandy Moore is singing in the play, the clasp on her necklace keeps moving - in one shot, it's visible, in the next it's not, then it's near her collarbone... all over the place!
Continuity mistake: In the scene after Landon gets in the car crash and he is at home, when he walks into the kitchen he is wearing a long sleeve shirt. In one shot his sleeves are all the way down and in the next shot when he sits down at the table his sleeves are pushed up. Between the two shots he would not have had enough time to push them up.
