The movie indicates that Jamie dies, but in the book, Nicholas Sparks leaves his readers questioning by telling the readers confused with the last line, "I smile slightly, looking towards the sky, knowing there's one thing I haven't told you:I now believe, by the way, in miracles."

Jamie: OK, so you don't care about classes or graduating, but you like school because you're popular and you'll never be on top again.
Landon: That's thoroughly predictable.
Jamie: Your act only works on an audience.
Trivia: After the play, on the front porch of Jamie's house, Landon arrives and gives her a pink sweater. At one point in this scene, you can see the red lights of a car pass from left to right behind Jamie. That is a real police car in the middle of a real car chase! You can hear more about this on the commentary with Shane West, Mandy Moore, and director Adam Shankman on the DVD.
Question: This is going to sound really stupid but, from reading the Trivia section have found that there is a book of A Walk To Remember. Is the book called A Walk To Remember, and who is it by?
