The One

Trivia: In the gunfire scene at the prison, at the beginning of the movie, when the sergeant yells to two of his men "Woo, Scott, follow me," it is a clear joke from director James Wong to fellow moviemakers John Woo and Ridley Scott.

Trivia: The straight line fighting style that Jet Li used in this film when playing as Yulaw was developed in prison, where combatants had limited space for moving around, and were shackled.

Trivia: In the scene where Funsch over rides the wormhole destination that Yulaw tries to take, the device Funsch uses says Destination Final. This is an inside joke reference to the movie, Final Destination, which was made by the same people.

The One mistake picture

Continuity mistake: Both Gabe and Yulaw have their hair parted on the right side. But during the fight between them, you can tell they flipped the image of the film as it shows Yulaw's part on the left side in one shot, and again a couple shots later. It then returns to his right side. (01:11:35)

MVA Supervisor: You may make a final statement.
Gabriel Yulaw: The Multiverse... Every universe in it is irrational... Sloppy. I just try to make it rational. I just try to make it neat. You call it murder. How could I murder myself 123 times? I just took those wasted energies... And put them into one container... Me. It made me faster, smarter, stronger. What if that is our fate? To unite with our other selves. To be unified forever. To be one. I will be The One.
