Continuity mistake: At the end when the children learn that their dad is their new baby sitter, look at Chris' tassels on his coat from when they get to door to when Daniel says 'Go get your stuff' and he runs up stairs - between shots, his tassels are both hanging down, then hanging to the right, then hanging down etc. indicating this scene was shot at least twice.

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Mrs. Doubtfire and the family go to the pool to meet with Stu, you see the same two women in bikinis cross in front of the gate a few times in less than a minute, always going in the same direction.

Continuity mistake: In the scene in the kitchen while Daniel is looking for a face, his robe is not closed completely at the top, but as soon as Mrs. Stelner enters, the robe is done all the way up and quite tightly. Suggested correction: It was in place because at one point, Daniel even moved his wig and fixed it.

Wolf99

You must be confusing which part of the scene the mistake is talking about. Right before Daniel opens the fridge door, when he has the towel over his face, his wig is messed up, there's even a strand of hair hanging down. When we see from inside the fridge, the wig is perfect without Daniel touching his wig.

Continuity mistake: In the scene at the pool, when Pierce Brosnan dives into the pool and comes out look at his hairline, and look at it again in the next shot after his hair stylist intervened.

Continuity mistake: In the restaurant scene when Daniel puts the cayenne pepper on the jambalaya, Stu takes a shrimp and starts chewing it before he chokes on it. When Daniel comes and performs the Heimlich maneuver on him and the shrimp is coughed out, it's whole and unchewed.

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Mrs. Selner inspects Daniel's apartment after meeting Mrs. Doubtfire, Daniel is tidying up the place a bit. He picks up some articles of clothing, and then goes off to get his "sister". Before leaving down the hall, his pile of clothing is completely covered by a blue skirt or dress. But the next shot shows Daniel with a white article of clothing on top.

Continuity mistake: When Harvey Feirstein's character is talking on the telephone to his mother about Daniel's divorce, he says "I love you, too." You then hear her say "I love you" afterward.

Continuity mistake: When Daniel is in the bathtub, speaking in a German accent while on the phone with Miranda, he asks her how many children she has. At this point Daniel's chest is clean. It then cuts to Miranda who says, "I have two girls and a boy." In the next shot, however, Daniel's chest is suddenly covered in bubbles.

Continuity mistake: When Mrs. Doubtfire and Miranda are talking in the kitchen, Miranda's necklace' beads are crooked. In the next shot after Mrs.Doubtfire is seen, Miranda's necklace is astoundingly perfect.

Continuity mistake: When Chris and Lydia discover that Mrs. Doubtfire is really their father, he explains Uncle Frank's and Aunt Jack's part in it. When it cuts back to Lydia, she has a long length of hair down the front of her right shoulder, but in the next shot, when she says, "It's really you in there," the hair is suddenly behind her shoulder.

Continuity mistake: When Mrs Doubtfire is pouring the cayenne pepper into Stu's dish of jambalaya, you can see that the container has nothing on the side, but when Mrs Doubtfire has finished, a label has suddenly appeared.

Continuity mistake: Mrs. Stelner visits Mrs. Doubtfire's apartment. She is in front of a mirror and there are three separate pictures of the three children in a triangular position with Lydia at top left, Natalie below her and Chris to their right. Later on in the scene after Mrs. Doubtfire watches her mask get flattened by a truck, Mrs. Steiner is still standing by the mirror. Natalie's pic has been repositioned on top of Lydia's pic, so they are now reversed. The framed picture is also moved.

Suggested correction: If you look carefully, the face looks pretty much the same, as well as the voice.

Wolf99

The reason the voice was the same is that it was probably an audio dub, which is a voice recording over someone else's voice.

Mrs. Doubtfire: I hope you don't mind me being a tad rude, but... How was he? You know, on a scale of 1 to 10?
Miranda: Well, that part was always... Okay.
Mrs. Doubtfire: Just okay? Well, he was probably a Casanova compared to poor old Winston.
Miranda: What was the matter with Winston?
Mrs. Doubtfire: Oh dear, Winston's idea of foreplay was "Effie, brace yourself."

Trivia: Adding to the 'carpe dentum' contribution, if you look at Pierce Brosnan when Mrs Doubtfire gets up from the table, he is moments away from bursting out laughing. According to the commentary track on the dvd, it was this reference to Dead Poets Society that tickled Brosnan but he managed to keep a straight face and so they didn't need to reshoot.

Question: When Daniel learns that Stu is allergic to pepper he sneaks into the kitchen and spikes his food. Later when Stu starts choking Daniel seems surprised. What did he think was going to happen?

Answer: Well when someone's allergies act up, typically people associate that with sneezing and coughing, etc. Daniel didn't think there'd be a much more serious reaction.

Quantom X

Answer: Likely especially since Daniel was drunk, he didn't think it through, and the fact that Stu could die from his "prank."

Answer: He acts surprised so that everyone thinks he wasn't in on it, and he is just another person scared for Stu. If he didn't have a surprised face, or just a straight face, the gig would've been easier to notice.

Answer: Maybe just faking it as Mrs. Doubtfire to avoid being caught smiling to himself?
