Question: Why does Aurora go out into the forest barefoot? Doesn't she have shoes?

Answer: She has shoes. There's no reason given why she's not wearing them. She probably just likes being barefoot when in the woods.

Question: How is it that after sixteen years of living like humans without using magic the fairies still didn't know how to cook or make clothing? Shouldn't they have learned how to do those things by then? What did they do to feed Rose during all the years in between?

Answer: There is no way to answer this because it's never explained, but they somehow managed as best they could. This is an animated fairy tale, simplified for children, and not about reality. Illogical details are just glossed over and accepted with a "suspension of disbelief."

Answer: They did, they just couldn't do it right. Like going to school, without proper instructions, they did it hastily, sloppily, and incorrectly.

Question: Is there any particular reason why Maleficent needs to lure Aurora up into the tower to have her prick her finger? We see that Maleficent magically creates the spinning wheel herself, so couldn't she have just done that in Aurora's bedchamber?

Answer: Being that Aurora is a princess, she would have many servants and other attendants constantly tending to her. They could conceivably discover the spinning wheel and prevent Aurora from pricking her finger inside her bedroom. Luring her into the tower makes her more vulnerable. It also adds to the story's drama and suspense.

Other mistake: When the three fairies are cleaning up the cottage, Merriwether has the broom magically sweep all the dust into a pile, then she makes the pile disappear. Right after it does so, the picture is stuck in a freeze-frame for about half a second.
