Trivia: According to Simu Liu, none of the actors knew which other actors would appear in the film until the first round of cast members was announced to the public. Liu attributed this to Tom Holland and Mark Ruffalo constantly spoiling previous films in interviews.
Trivia: The first round of casting announcements for this film was shown on Marvel Entertainment's YouTube channel in a live stream lasting more than 5 hours, in which each of the 27 cast members was announced with their name adorning the backside of a director's chair, with each name being revealed in 12-minute intervals.
Trivia: This film was originally announced as "Avengers: The Kang Dynasty" with Destin Daniel Cretton attached to direct and Jonathan Majors playing the main antagonist Kang. After Majors was found guilty of assaulting and harassing his ex-girlfriend, Marvel severed ties with him and temporarily referred to the film as "Avengers 5." Cretton left to focus on the sequel to Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. The Russo Brothers were announced as the new directors at San Diego Comic Con 2024.
