Trivia: "Alien: Romulus" was meant to be made for the streaming platform Hulu, similar to the 2022 "Predator" prequel "Prey" and the 2022 "Hellraiser" reboot. This was due to the fact that the COVID pandemic had decimated the theatrical market for several years starting in 2020. However, early on in filming, Disney decided to take a risk and make it a theatrical release, gambling on theatres hopefully rebounding by the time it was finished in 2024. It paid off, with the film becoming a minor hit.
Trivia: When the Xenomorph lands over Kay, director Fede Alvarez asked for a bucket of cold water to be thrown at Isabela Merced to obtain a better scare face. Isabela says she was not informed earlier that they were going to throw cold water on her, so the face you see in that scene is her real face of fright trying to catch air because of how scared she was.
Trivia: While Rain is eating and talking with Andy in the background, a dipping bird can be seen, just like in Alien and Alien: Covenant.
Trivia: The dead Xenomorph on the roof where Rook is, is the very same one killed by Ripley in Alien.
Suggested correction: I'm not really sure if this quite counts as trivia, as the movie quite literally comes right out and tells us that it's the exact same Xenomorph that Ripley ejected into space at the end of the original film, and we even see Weyland-Yutani finding it in the opening scene.
