And Willem Dafoe, who plays Professor Albin Eberhart von Franz, had before played Max Schreck in the 2000 film "Shadow of the Vampire", a movie about the making of the original "Nosferatu" film.
Trivia: Willem Dafoe previously played Max Schreck (and by extension, Count Orlok) in Shadow of the Vampire, which is a fictionalized telling of the filming of the 1922 Nosferatu film.
