Continuity mistake: Chato is returning to the diving bell. He has on a full face mask and tanks. Yet in the next shots, he is shown approaching the bell and getting out of the water. He has no face mask and no tanks.
Other mistake: The sun is shining and the road isn't wet, but a shot of the windshield when Paul turns his head toward the backseat shows short diagonal lines covering the windshield. The image suggests but does not resemble rainfall. In front views, the windshield is clear. (00:09:48)
Continuity mistake: Tommy and Audrey's bottled soft drinks are set on the table several inches apart, but change positions a couple of times with the camera's angle. (Nobody is seen moving the bottles.) The bottles are either closer together and nearer to Audrey, split apart with Tommy's bottle further away from the left-hand side of his laptop, or closer together with Tommy's back to the left-hand side of his laptop when Paul comes to the table. Audio problem: While Paul is telling his story to Chato, his lips aren't moving when he says, "My wife and I were settling into a new house" - his mouth is slightly open, then he smiles and shakes his head. (01:10:27)
