Scream VI

Audio problem: When Sam is talking to Ghostface for the first time, as Ghostface says the words "I'm going to show the world who you really are," the camera cuts to a different angle. If you watch Sam's chin at the top of the screen, you can blatantly tell that she's speaking, but no audio is heard.

Audio problem: When Sam leaves her apartment to go find Tara at the party, we hear her in the background unlock a single lock and open the door. However, earlier, we saw that there are four different locks on the door, and she relocked all of them. So we should have heard her unlock four locks before being able to leave.

Audio problem: When Sam returns to her apartment, we see that she's installed four separate locks on her door due to her fear. However, when she enters and relocks all the locks, you hear her re-locking six locks.

Audio problem: When Jason dies, he says the line, "But we have to finish the movie." If you pay attention, his mouth isn't moving for the word "but."

Other mistake: When Sam and Tara first meet Gale outside, after Gale gets punched, pay attention to the multiple news crews behind her as they start arguing about Gale's book. Randomly, they go from paying attention and recording to suddenly all dispersing and packing up after the shot cuts to Sam and then back to Gale. This makes absolutely no sense. They're all involved in a very famous case; there's no reason every reporter there would suddenly start packing up in the five seconds they were offscreen.

Trivia: When the kids are walking down the stairs in the subway station, you can see one guy walking upstairs dressed as the character Mojo Jojo from "The Powerpuff Girls." Mojo Jojo was voiced by Roger L. Jackson, the same voice actor for Ghostface.

Question: The events of Scream VI take place around Halloween, but it doesn't specify what year. A news reporter said that the Woodsboro killings took place in 2022 as if they happened a year ago, and Scream VI was released in March of 2023. So, do the events of Scream VI take place on Halloween of 2022 or 7 months in the future after the film's release date?

Answer: I think this is more "trivia" than mistake. There's no error in a film taking place a bit further ahead in time than in its release date.

Answer: Using some conjecture, if the film states the last killings took place in 2022 and treats it like "last year," you can assume it takes place around Halloween 2023. Films are allowed to take place in the future. They don't have to be set around their release date. So how is this a mistake?
