The Lodge

Revealing mistake: Grace set and held her knees twice onto the smoldering logs on the fireplace hearth extension. There was no indication either time that her pants' knees caught fire. There were not even any sparks/ashes flying from the pressure of her knees onto the logs. (01:27:50 - 01:28:27)

Revealing mistake: The two sets of steps visible from the front of Richard's house (to the right of the garage) are awkwardly placed and unrealistic. Several steps are perpendicular to Richard's parked Jeep then disappear behind the trees. The second steps are parallel to the Jeep (but perpendicular to the other steps) and appear to start "in the air" near the top of the garage, are at an odd angle to the deck and would lead to the side wall of the house's exterior above the deck, not the deck or front door. Revealing mistake: The structure/set-up of Richard's house (front view) doesn't make sense and can't be real. The half of the house to the right of the screen is at an awkward angle and has no windows. What little of the roof that can be seen is flat - not conducive to snowy Massachusetts. The bottom of the door to the right of the garage door is inches above the driveway pavement (elevated with no step). The deck wall to the right of the yellow door is higher than the door but the front rails only reach halfway. (00:03:25)

Factual error: Laura, Aiden, and Mia often complained about how cold it was in the cabin. Mia kept her jar with the Sea-Monkey on her bedroom window sill - right next to the frosted/iced-over windows. The Sea-Monkey's habitat should not be exposed to direct sunlight and, more importantly, the Sea-Monkey needs to be kept in room temperature water or between 70-76° F (higher for hatching). Mia's Sea-Monkey could not survive under the conditions she kept it in at the cabin. (01:22:37)

Trivia: Richard's "Woody" Jeep in the movie (set in 2019) appears to be a 1980s (1987?) Wagoneer Limited. Wagoneers were discontinued in 1991, but Wagoneers and Grand Wagoneers have returned (in different form) in 2022.
