Continuity mistake: Grace was wearing an over-sized (gray?) sweater when she was outside sitting on the porch steps holding her dead dog Grady. Aiden and Mia put a dark-colored (black?) blanket around Grace's shoulders and it draped past her hips, touching the porch. It does not appear as though Grace still had the blanket draped over her shoulders or anywhere when there was a distant view of her still sitting on the porch. (01:24:05 - 01:26:55)
Continuity mistake: The amount of snow cover on the lake is inconsistent. There is solid ice with a foot or more of snow cover when Grace goes out to ice-skate, but once she is on the lake going toward Mia by the fishing hole, there appears to be only a couple inches of snow cover. However, when Richard is skating toward the fishing hole to rescue Grace, he falls into several inches of snow. The thickness of the ice around the fishing hole also varies. (00:29:15 - 00:31:10)
Continuity mistake: When Richard and the kids are picking up Grace to go to the cabin, the sizes and locations of the areas defrosted in the rear window of the Jeep change from two horizontal areas to one area that is shorter and then to only one area that is lower than the previous ones. (00:20:55 - 00:21:17)
Continuity mistake: Grace has blood on most of her face from her eyes down, nose, and lips when she goes up to Aiden and Mia's loft, but most of it appears to be gone when she goes into the hallway to meet Richard. (The hallway is dark, but the blood should still be visible). (01:33:19 - 01:35:40)
Continuity mistake: The position of Richard's legs change when he is dead on the stairway landing. Initially, Richard's right leg is bent at the knee and pointing toward the lower flight and his left leg is straight, going up the wall to the next flight. Richard's legs quickly switch from this position when Grace is approaching the landing to his right leg going up the wall and his left leg not visible when Grace reaches the landing. An aerial view then shows Richard's legs back to their original positions. (01:36:27 - 01:37:12)
