Character mistake: Casey is sixth of six male students standing in a row to individually demonstrate a karate move for Sensei. After the fourth student, Sensei passes up student #5 and says, "Next. Casey." Sensei completely missed the fifth student, the only other beginning white belt like Casey. (00:28:45 - 00:29:10)

The Art of Self-Defense (2019)
1 character mistake - chronological order
Directed by: Riley Stearns
Starring: Jesse Eisenberg, Alessandro Nivola, Imogen Poots
Continuity mistake: After Sensei puts Casey's white belt around his neck, the camera shifts to Sensei putting Casey's yellow belt on him - but the yellow belt has already been wrapped behind Casey and back to his front (ready to be tied). (00:34:30)
Sensei: If a bear's forest catches on fire, the bear is still a bear. Even if a boat capsizes in rough seas and sinks to the bottom of the ocean with no survivors, it is still a boat.
