Continuity mistake: An Hispanic gang approaches David as he is about to have a smoke. He raises his lighter, the head honcho of the gang picks his cigarette, and David raises again the hand he already raised. (00:32:50)
Revealing mistake: The sequence when Wino Henry gets hit by the tail of the gator and thrown against the wall is all sorts of wrong; in the first part of it, the victim is just standing there in the silliest way and in fact professional bum actor Carmen Filpi 'corpses' waiting for the special effect to happen. In the second part, he's replaced by a poorly disguised stuntman. (00:29:20)
Continuity mistake: When Smirnoff brutalizes Tanaka's nose, he does it without holding him at first, but he has him in a headlock in the next shot. Even more obvious discontinuity after Hodges' bathroom antics, when Smirnoff has his opponent in a sleeper hold (so he's behind him) but instantly in the next shot he is in front of him and bites his face (all of this with the announcer Count Billy Varga talking continuously). Continuity mistake: David drops by to the club where the uber-rich baddie is relaxing, and turns out his ideal pastime is dining ringside while hairy wrestlers bodyslam each other on his table. In one of the opening shots he and his associates grab their glasses from the table, but in the wider shot when Professor Tanaka picks up Alexi Smirnoff, their glasses are still on the table, and back in their hands later. Continuity mistake: David is taking a walk after the exposition scene with his coroner friend and his wife. An Hispanic woman is talking with a douchy realtor; she has her hands and forearms on the table, they are gone from the table at the cut. (00:14:00)
Continuity mistake: On the helicopter at the end, both survivors grab headsets; David when the camera is on the left has a very noticeable wet curl in the middle of the forehead he doesn't have in the shots from the right. (01:21:20)
Continuity mistake: When Harmon with a bloody nose suggests that there's gotta be some army ordinance stuff they can use, Sheri next to him has hair all over the left shoulder. It's gone in the wider shot. (00:51:50)
Other mistake: The scene in the semi-underground wrestling match features some old time territory wrestlers, namely Professor Toru Tanaka and one of the many evil Russians (he was Canadian, really) of pro wrestling, Alexis Smirnoff. In the end credits though, his name gets feminized as Alexia Smirnoff. (01:27:55)
Continuity mistake: Christine and her husband at the end of the movie hug with two different positions depending on the camera angle. (01:25:50)
Other mistake: When the alligator crawls in the sewers after the helicopter scene, the footage is directly ported from the previous movie. (01:22:15)
Revealing mistake: Brown grabs the contracts and runs away. He and his trusted henchman spot the alligator; in the shot just before the one where Brown gives the ever useful order "Kill him", the alligator is visible in all its fakery. (01:14:15)
Revealing mistake: The alligator emerges from the lake and after knocking back a Carrot Top clone, he begins scuttling through the crowd. In the orgy of poor special effects, it's of particular note a shot where people supposedly are running away from the beast but half the extras are giggling and one guy doesn't even bother to run, just glances bored at the 'monster' less than 2 meters away from him. Continuity mistake: Christine throws Hawkins' cigarette in the manhole and runs back to the truck; David in the first shot does not have his hand on his chest, but he does in the next. (01:08:20)
Continuity mistake: After the alligator eats the bomb, the three hunters decide to split. When David suggests it, the strap goes across his chest a different way in the two shots. (01:07:05)
Continuity mistake: Vinny Brown visits his realtor, who tells him to "tell those lowlives to shut up." Cut, and both Steve Railsback and Elkanah Burns' hands are in a different position (the realtor put already down the papers, but now he still has to, and Brown moved the hand away from the railing but it's back fully on it). (01:03:55)
Continuity mistake: When Hodges, Harmon and Hawk put together the 6 sticks of dynamite, Hawk's thumb is below or above Hodges', depending on the angle. (01:03:35)
Visible crew/equipment: When Brown's limo leaves the scene following Speed's police car, set lights and camera crew are reflected in the side of the vehicle. (00:59:25)
Other mistake: David and the others help out of the sewers one of the alligator hunters. David asks him "who's still down there" and he says "Hawk", but there were other 3 people (relatives and friends, even) besides him; Hawk is the last one alive, sure, but he can't know that. (00:56:55)
Revealing mistake: When the alligator breaks the wall after David failed to kill him with the grenade, the fake jaws are strikingly obvious and completely different from the alligator's look in the part that follows. (00:49:45)
Continuity mistake: When David talks with his wife, the rest of the team and then also Chief Speed outside the manhole, the natural light (quantity of light behind the SUV) changes depending on the camera angle. (00:51:00)
