Continuity mistake: After the riders have jumped the water jump in the steeplechase scene, Bond is joined by a group of Zorin's exercise boys. You can see that a rider with a dark green helmet is positioned a few yards ahead of Bond, but in the next scene he is next to Bond and attacking him. (00:48:05)
Continuity mistake: During the steeplechase sequence, Bond is attacked by one of Zorin's exercise boys wearing a yellow helmet. After a quick cut to Zorin looking over his shoulder, we return to Bond and he is now being attacked by a different rider with a dark green helmet, while the rider with the yellow helmet is now at the back of the pack. Continuity mistake: When Bond says "Well, it's not mutual." to Max Zorin outside the Rolls Royce, Zorin is standing right in front of him. In the next shot, Zorin has suddenly moved away from Bond and Scarpine is now in front of Bond. (00:49:50)
Continuity mistake: After Scarpine has knocked out Bond and pushes him into the back of the Rolls Royce, the position of Sir Godfrey's head on the headrest changes between shots. (00:50:00)
Continuity mistake: When Scarpine knocks out Bond, he pushes him into the back of the Rolls-Royce, and he lies on his back unconscious next to Tibbett. However, when Zorin and May Day drive the Rolls-Royce to the river, the 'unconscious' Bond has now managed to sit himself up on his seat. (00:50:40)
Continuity mistake: When the Rolls sinks its back end is pointing upwards; the front end going down in a steep angle. But when Bond is getting out of it and gets air from the tires it is upside down. And the surface is not far away. It is impossible that it could have turned over. (00:51:10)
Continuity mistake: When Bond is using the tyre valve to breathe underwater, "Michelin" is spelled out in white on the tire but all previous shots of the car show blackwall tyres. (00:51:35)
Continuity mistake: When the Rolls Royce sinks it is a lot further away from Zorin and May than when Bond looks out of the water while he is getting air from the tyres. (00:51:40)
Continuity mistake: When Zorin is explaining his plan to the men aboard the blimp he makes the model of Silicon Valley rise from a hidden compartment and dramatically gestures his arms upwards with his hands spread wide apart. While the model is still rising, the handkerchief changes to his right hand then back to the left. (00:54:30)
Continuity mistake: When Bond listens to the cassette of the conversation between Zorin and Bob Conley at the dock warehouse, it is a completely different conversation to the one heard at the warehouse. (01:00:00)
Continuity mistake: When Bond enters the turbine, there is a dead crab on the grate. But when he leaves the turbine, the crab has disappeared. (01:00:30)
Continuity mistake: Bond's air tank is perforated on the middle after he has thrown it into the propeller blade. But it would have been hit in the end, not in the middle, after being pushed into a fast spinning blade. (01:01:30)
Continuity mistake: If a diving tank were perforated under water there would be a big 'explosion' from the release of compressed air. No such thing happens when Bond throws his tank into the propeller blade. (01:01:40)
Continuity mistake: When Bond is in Mr Howe's office at San Francisco City Hall, the exit-only door is marked "Divisions of Oil and Mines" when he leaves. But when Stacey is fired, the door is marked "Division of Oil and Mines." (01:07:00)
Suggested correction: It's two different doors that are seen. Both go to the same office but it's two different doors.
Continuity mistake: When the thug is knocked through the bannister he grabs the chandelier with two hands next to each other. As we see him swinging a second later his hands are spread apart. (01:13:05)
Continuity mistake: When one of Zorin's thugs pulls the shotgun out of Bond's hand at Stacey's mansion, you can see that Stacey is standing directly behind Bond on the staircase, but in the next shot she has now moved a few steps further up. (01:13:20)
Continuity mistake: When Zorin's men attacks Stacey's house, she throws a jar at one of them. A huge part stays on his head and he doesn't remove it when he escapes with the other. When Stacey is taking the broken parts on the floor, you can see that same huge part. At the place it is on the floor, the man had to put it gently on the floor, something he didn't. (01:13:40)
Continuity mistake: When Stacey hits the thug over the head with the vase during the attack on her mansion, she puts her left hand to her mouth and you can see she is holding the lid sideways, but when we see Stacey in the next shot, the lid is now pointing straight up. (01:13:40)
Continuity mistake: At Stacey's house, Bond is sleeping with the gun in his lap. When Stacey enters with breakfast, the gun has changed position and he is now holding it upright. (01:18:00)
