Under Siege

Other mistake: Near the end of the film, when the 2 nuclear missiles are destroyed, one by a fighter plane, the other by Segal, the same shot is used for both the missiles blowing up.

Other mistake: In each film Segal plays a chief petty officer, who happens to be an ex-Navy SEAL. In the posters for Under Siege, he's shown in the dress white uniform of an admiral. In the second film he's still depicted as an officer, but he has been demoted to a lieutenant. I guess the producers just thought the officer's uniform looks prettier, even though they're the very same uniform, except a chief has anchors on his collar and no shoulder boards.

Other mistake: When Seal Team 5 was sent to the Missouri, according to the admiral, they were aboard a CH53E. The helicopter they were shot down in was a CH46.

Other mistake: When the band is playing in the mess-hall you hear the drums playing along. When Ryback enters the mess-after after the take over, no drums are on stage.

Continuity mistake: In one sequence (in which Ryback tries to save the drowning sailors), Ryback is running with two machine guns and kills a bunch of bad guys, including one guy with a moustache and cap who falls down a flight of stairs. After the machine guns are empty, he pulls out a pistol, slowly goes into another room and, surprise! the same guy appears, gets shot and falls down the stairs! Its obvious they ran out of guys to kill in the film, so they just ran the same film twice to look more violent.

Trivia: Early on in the film an officer shows a copy of Playboy magazine to a crewman. Erika Eleniak was the centerfold in that issue of Playboy.

Question: Does anyone how many times they had to retake the scene where Gary Busey asks Tommy Lee Jones if he looks like he needed a psychiatrist? Tommy Lee looks so serious when he says "not at all." I just can't see him doing that part and still keeping a straight face. Are there any outtakes or bloopers from the film?

Answer: Think the fact that Strannix looks at Krill with a straight face actually added humor to the scene.

Answer: Also, the more times the scene is practiced or additional takes, the less funny it is to the actors. So, it would be easy by the time of filming for Strannix to not laugh. Just like if you have seen a classic comedy TV show, the audience is always laughing because it's generally their first time seeing the scene when filmed. But you as a viewer, seeing the show a hundred times over the years, do not laugh because you have seen it so many times. That, to YOU, it's not funny anymore. Same rules apply here for the actors while filming.
