Tenet mistake picture

Continuity mistake: When the Protagonist, with Neil's help, is trying to stop the inverted car in which Kat is locked up, the door's window is lowered differently depending on the shots. (01:20:36)

Continuity mistake: When the bodyguards begin to pull the Protagonist and Kat out of the inverted vehicle after stopping it, Volkov is the only person who is first shown grabbing onto the Protagonist to try and pull him out. It then cuts to a closer shot, and a second bodyguard has suddenly appeared, to help Volkov pull the Protagonist out of the vehicle. (01:21:57)

Continuity mistake: When the Protagonist is being dragged into the Freeport by two of Sator's bodyguards, an inverted Sator is in the background, dragging Kat by her arm on the opposite side of the gate. A closer shot of Sator dragging Kat is then shown, where he now has his arm across her abdomen. (01:22:10)

Casual Person

Other mistake: Sator and another man run into the turnstile when the soldiers arrive and exit on the other side. As soon as the two of them enter the opposing room, the other man immediately begins running towards the door on the opposite side of the room, to open it. Whilst he is doing that, Sator begins watching the events that just occurred in the opposite room unfold in reverse, all of which last for about ten seconds. But after those ten seconds, the man is still shown running towards the door. The distance between the turnstile and the door was not very far and it shouldn't have taken that long to run to it. (01:24:28)

Visible crew/equipment: After exiting the turnstile, Sator looks through the window separating the two rooms and watches his past self interrogating the Protagonist in the opposite room. In the shot where his past self is shown hitting the Protagonist across the head with his gun (in reverse), the wheels of the camera dolly can be seen reflected in the window to the left of shot. (01:24:45)

Continuity mistake: When Sator is in the blue room after walking through the turnstile, he picks up Kat, puts her against the window, counts down from three to one and shoots her. Whilst he is counting down, he has his hand on Kat's shoulder. The camera then changes to a different angle where his hand is now on Kat's upper arm, and then moves onto her shoulder. Sator then pulls Kat away from the window with his hand on her upper arm. (01:24:58)

Continuity mistake: Just after the interrogation has been shown from Sator's perspective, it cuts back to the Protagonist and the other soldiers in the present. There is a shot of a medic looking over Kat, where his left hand is shown placing his gun on the ground. It then cuts to a different angle where his left hand is now placed over Kat's stomach. (01:25:41)

Continuity mistake: Whilst Wheeler is explaining the rules of inversion to the Protagonist shortly before he goes outside, as she is saying "Gravity will feel normal but appear reversed for the world around you", she is shown holding a small tank of oxygen in her left hand and begins attaching it to a tube shown in her right hand. The camera then changes angles and the oxygen tank is now in her right hand and the tube is suddenly attached to the tank. (01:30:02)

Casual Person

Audio problem: Just before the Protagonist is about to go outside fully inverted, Wheeler is shown pushing a button on the wall which opens a large door. She then says to him "Friction and wind resistance are reversed", but her lips do not match up with what she is heard saying. (01:30:13)

Visible crew/equipment: When the Protagonist passes through Sator's turnstile to return to the ambush site on the highway and gets in the inverted car, a cameraman holding the camera is reflected on the wing mirror. (01:31:38)

Tenet mistake picture

Continuity mistake: When the Protagonist inverts himself and gets into the Saab - which is the car that overturned in the previous chase scene on the highway - you can see the car's tires resting first on branch lines' tracks, but in the next shot the tracks are gone and the ground is dusty. (01:31:41)

Continuity mistake: When Sator is on the highway looking for the Plutonium-241, he's seen coming out from the car and then closing the door, but after he checks in the BMW's glove box and returns to his car, the car door is open without anyone touching it. (01:31:58 - 01:32:49)

Visible crew/equipment: When the protagonist inverts himself and gets in the car, a shot from outside reveals a small black car behind him reflected on the bumper. From the immediate wide angle the car is gone. Seemingly, the filming vehicle. According to footage from the making-of, a small black car was the one holding the filming crane. (01:32:00)

Sacha

Continuity mistake: When the protagonist's car overturns, the wide angle shows his mask on. In the immediate close-up it's off, and he is placing it back on his mouth. (01:34:11)

Sacha

Continuity mistake: On the shipping container, Neil injects Kat with some medicine in a syringe. Whilst Neil says "The faster you sleep, the more you heal", he is shown with his left hand holding Kat's arm and has his fingers positioned under her arm. It then cuts to a closer shot of Kat, where Neil's left hand is now positioned on top of her arm. (01:37:58)

Visible crew/equipment: After going through the turnstile in Oslo, the Protagonist walks up to an ambulance, knocks out the driver and steals it. When he begins to drive off, the shadow of a huge stage light can be seen cast on the side of the ambulance. (01:44:34)

Casual Person

Continuity mistake: The protagonist, Neil and Kat are in the back of the yellow ambulance in the parking garage. Neil checks on Kat, after that he removes plastic gloves from his hands and throws them into the trash right next to him, 2 cuts later he again crumples a pair of plastic gloves. (01:46:15)

Suggested correction: People doing procedures change gloves all the time. There is nothing suspicious about using 2 pairs of gloves in 3 minutes.

He was already done with the procedure when he removed the first pair of gloves. He was never shown putting on the second pair.

It's the same scene replayed, a true editing error.

But this scenes are within about 15 seconds of time - so there is no time to put on another pair.

Continuity mistake: When the Protagonist approaches Priya after inverting back in Oslo, right as he says hello to her, on Priya's left, a woman and man can be seen. The woman is wearing an orange cardigan, blue jeans and a handbag over her arm. The man next to her is holding a plastic water bottle. The camera then cuts to an angle in front of the Protagonist and Priya, where the man and woman are suddenly further behind them. (01:46:43)

Casual Person

Continuity mistake: The Protagonist and Priya are walking along a pathway in a park whilst talking about the creator of the algorithm. There are multiple points in this scene where the direction of their head changes between cuts. When the Protagonist says "The past", Priya is looking forwards, but when the shot cuts, she is looking more to the left. Later, Priya says "Nine sets of the most closely guarded materials in the world" and the Protagonist is shown looking at her, but when the shot cuts, he is suddenly looking forwards. She then says "The best hiding place possible" looking at the Protagonist, but is then looking forwards in the next shot. Seconds after that, when she says "Find and assemble the algorithm" she is looking at the Protagonist, but is then shown looking forwards when the shot cuts. After the Protagonist asks why they chose Sator, Priya replies looking at the Protagonist, then looking forwards, then looking slightly to the left, then back to looking forwards in the next shot. (01:47:55)

Casual Person

Audio problem: When Priya is explaining the nuclear sites in which the algorithm parts are hidden to the Protagonist, at one point she says "Nine sets of the most closely guarded materials in the world." When she begins saying "Nine sets of the most", her lips appear to perfectly sync up with the audio, but when she says "closely guarded", her lips do not sync up with the audio heard, revealing that the line was dubbed over mid-sentence. Trivia: The 747 crashing into a building was shot entirely practically, with a retired jumbo jet. Christopher Nolan costed out doing it with miniatures, but realised it would be cheaper (and better) to buy the shell of an old aircraft and really crash it.
