Trivia: More tributes and references to Star Wars: at the beginning of the movie the sound of the laser gun in Buzz's arm is the sound of a Star Wars blaster. (00:02:40)

Trivia: When Etch copies the map off the TV and Buzz points to "Al's Toy Barn" and says "That's where I need to go.", the address listed beside "Al's Toy Barn" is also Pixar's address in California. (00:24:20)

Trivia: One of the biggest in jokes is for Linux users - note the penguin at the end (ie. the Linux logo, complete with red bow tie), singing "you've got a friend in me", in a computer generated film....

Trivia: Zurg's laser blaster goes up to 11, a reference to This Is Spinal Tap. (01:11:20)

Trivia: Before the toys cross the street to the toy barn (just before the accident), when they are in the bushes getting ready to cross, you can see Heimlich - the caterpillar from "A Bug's Life" - in the background, eating a leaf. (00:36:20)

Trivia: At practically at the end of the movie when Bo Peep is admiring Woody's fixed arm, if you look in the picture on the calendar in the background it is one of the early pictures of A Bug's Life (shows A Bug's Life type ants carrying food across a leaf). (01:23:45)

Trivia: When Buzz lands on the planet at the beginning and is surrounded by Zurg's robots, he fires into a crystal structure which bears a strong resemblance to a group of crystals seen on the Matterhorn ride at Disneyland Park. (00:02:20)

Trivia: In the scene in the airport baggage area, it took an average of 70 hours to render each frame.

Trivia: When the toys are playing cards during Woody's nightmare after being "shelved," all the cards are the ace of spades. In fortune telling, the ace of spades represents death. (00:10:40)

Trivia: Sid's sister Hannah can be seen in the airport when the toys go across the floor in a pet cage. She is with her back to the camera playing with another kid in a black chair. (01:14:10)

Trivia: For us Brits: The baggage handler that says "There's a couple more bags coming from the Terminal" is children's TV presenter Andi Peters.

Trivia: The box that Zurg comes out of in Al's Toy Barn has "Printed in Point Richmond" written on it. Pixar's offices were in Point Richmond in Richmond, California when the movie was made. (00:55:30)

Trivia: During the scene in the toy store, the toys use a car to get around, in which Rex at some point falls off and starts running after them to catch up. Mr. Potato Head spots him in the mirror with the words "Objects in mirror are closer than they appear." written. This is a parody of a scene from the original Jurassic Park movie, where the island visitors tries to escape a T-Rex in the same manner.

Trivia: When Jessie first meets Woody, she exclaims, "Sweet mother of Abraham Lincoln!" Abraham Lincoln's mother was Nancy Hanks, a blood relative of Tom Hanks. Tom Hanks is a direct descendant of an uncle of Nancy Hanks. (00:21:25)

Trivia: During the opening credits at the beginning, a readout reads "Gamma Quadrant" this is a reference to Star Trek. The Alpha Quadrant is Federation space and the Delta Quadrant is where Star Trek: Voyager takes place. (00:01:05)

Trivia: When Buzz lands on the planet and is surrounded by Zurg's robots, they bear a resemblance to Maximilian from The Black Hole, the first Disney movie to NOT get a G rating. (00:02:10)

Continuity mistake: When Jesse and Bullseye are at Andy's house, the letters on Bullseye's hoofs are written so that when it says Dany, the A is on the front left hoof, D is on the back left hoof, the N is on the front right hoof, and the Y is on the back right hoof. When he switches the letters to Andy, the A and Y stay on the same hoof, but the D and N switch hooves. (Note, our left and right, not Bullseye's.). (01:22:40)

Question: During the introduction to Woody's Roundup, as Woody watches himself come through the swinging saloon doors, the area around his holster appears blurry. Was this in keeping with the degraded quality of the tape footage, or is this censorship of a gun?

Answer: It isn't Woody's holster that's blurred, it's his hand. And yes, the blurred effect is due to the video tape's degeneration.
