Christmas Inheritance

Continuity mistake: During the drunken gymnastics young Miss Langford is doing to the delight of the paparazzi, she is wearing transparent pantyhose for the most part of the scene; you can see it during the cartwheels with the panty shot, and with the feet close-up. However her legs and feet are bare when the camera shows a stuntwoman leaping over the gifts and crashing into the tree (probably they didn't want to tear the stockings with that landing). (00:02:30 - 00:03:55)

Continuity mistake: After her display of gymnastic (and underwear), Ellen receives the charity donation from the party guest. She says "Toys for Tots thanks you for your generosity"; at the first word she is switching hand position from the top corner of the check to the bottom corner. But at the cut, she is holding it again by the top corner. (00:03:00)

Continuity mistake: The morning after her unceremonious landing into the Christmas tree, Ellen's dad is holding the tabloid with the full story. In the very first close-up of the first page he is holding it with his left hand. What follows is a wider shot of him holding it with both hands. (00:04:25)

Continuity mistake: When Ellen's dad is heading to his office in the morning, his assistant is reading out loud to other employees the article dealing with her party hijinks (the only sentence on that prop that talks about that subject, by the way). Behind her in there's a woman holding a blue clipboard - she is holding it with the right hand on the corner in the close-up, while it was the left hand in the shot before. (00:04:35)

Continuity mistake: Jim Langford meets his daughter in the boardroom; as the scene begins, when the camera is behind Neil Crone he is standing with his arms folded towards the centre, but in between he is shown from the front and his arms are straight down his side. (00:05:05)

Continuity mistake: Talking with Alice after his morning chat with his daughter, Jim asks her if she thinks he spoiled Ellen. Doing so, he hands her the document he just signed. And of course, he hands it to her using the left hand in the first shot, which turns into the right hand in the reverse shot. (00:06:35)

Continuity mistake: During the lunch scene with Ellen and her dad, the shadows cast on the table change rather obviously depending on the camera angle. (00:07:15)

Continuity mistake: During the lunch break with dad, Ellen pitches him the idea of a Valentine party fundraiser. In one shot she has her fingers on top of her smartphone but, before and after, her hand is just in another spot on the table, by the dish. (00:08:20)

Continuity mistake: Ellen received the mission from her dad. He boyfriend is opening the fridge door, which contains a lemon. The lemon is in a different position at the cut. Moreover, in that new shot he is holding the bottle in his left hand, but he holds it with both in the front view that follows. (00:09:20)

Continuity mistake: At the bus terminal, Ellen opens the envelope with the money with three fingers on the outer side in close-up, four fingers before and after. (00:11:55)

Continuity mistake: When Ellen's dad asks her to hand him the credit cards, she is turning towards him almost fully, but in the reverse shot she's still holding her cart, facing forward with her body. (00:12:20)

Sammo

Continuity mistake: After failing to tip the bus driver, Ellen moves the blue suitcases out of the way a bit. The taller trolley is in front of the other. When the man with the Christmas tree walks by knocking the Paris one into the street, the two trolleys have changed position. It should also be noted that she points out that "some guy" hit her suitcase - but the guy is nowhere to be seen afterwards - kinda hard to imagine him rudely sprinting away leaving her in that predicament...while carrying a tree. (00:15:40)

Sammo

Continuity mistake: Ellen and the charming taxi guy lift a blue robe of hers. The robe is more dirty with fake snow in the close-up than it was in the wider angle. (00:16:25)

Sammo

Continuity mistake: In the close-up of Ellen's phone that shows that yes, there is no signal in the town she's in (go figure), her thumb is at a lower position than in the previous and the following shots. (00:17:00)

Continuity mistake: Jake hears Silent Night at the diner, and stands up. Look at the menu in front of Ellen as she asks him if he's okay; it has the right corner pointed towards her. When he walks away, the menu is tilted the exact opposite way, left corner down. (00:27:30)

Sammo

Continuity mistake: Ellen squeals, scared by the hot water bottle. Fellow hotel patrons poke their head in. A guy is the first and only one, but in the next shot a woman is next to him already. (00:31:00)

Continuity mistake: Ellen's boyfriend across the phone call at the inn the second day is walking down a road, but 3 times is back at the same crossroads with a Christmas tree and a taxi. (00:33:15)

Continuity mistake: When Gray mentions "Karen from accounting" to Ellen during the first call, she has two fingers reaching around the microphone in the side view, but she is grasping the handset with all fingers together in the previous shot. (00:33:50)

Sammo

Continuity mistake: Jake puts down the receiver after Gray's call got disconnected. The cord is towards him. When he walks towards the middle of the room to quarrel with Ellie, you can see the phone is turned the opposite way. The cord dangles in front of the counter now. (00:34:45)

Sammo

Continuity mistake: When Ellie is cleaning up the room, at the very beginning of the scene the candles on the table are close in the sideview and more far apart in the birdseye view. (00:37:10)

Sammo

Continuity mistake: When Ellen's dad asks her to hand him the credit cards, she is turning towards him almost fully, but in the reverse shot she's still holding her cart, facing forward with her body. (00:12:20)
