Continuity mistake: During Jo and Mr. Dashwood's first meeting, he is reading a newspaper but when he asks "Not a first attempt, I take it?", he's suddenly looking right at Jo without having turned his head. (00:01:58)

Continuity mistake: After Mr. Dashwood tells Jo that her heroine needs to either be married or dead at the end of her story, he puts her pages down but in the next shot he's holding them again. (00:03:50)

Continuity mistake: During the carriage ride scene, when Amy is told by Aunt March that they're not going to return to America until Amy is engaged, they are looking at each other eye-to-eye. In the next shot, Amy is looking straight ahead. (00:06:50)

Continuity mistake: When Jo tells Friedrich that she's writing a novel, her hand goes up and down her chin between shots. (00:21:40)

Continuity mistake: After Amy says that she wants to be the best painter in the world, she waves around her string toy with one hand. In the next shot, she's holding it with both hands. (00:26:24)

Continuity mistake: When Mr. Laurence, Laurie and John Brooke are having Christmas breakfast, John puts his hand on the table but in the next shot, his hands are not there. (00:29:37)

Continuity mistake: Amy takes her shawl off when she tells everyone the rumours about Laurie's parentage, but she's wearing it again in the next shot. (00:31:36)

Continuity mistake: When Jo listens to Aunt March about how her father wasted his life, she's holding her book open but it's closed in the next shot. (00:36:12)

Continuity mistake: When Amy sits at the table after getting Jo mad, Jo sits to the other side of the table and has a piece of toast in her hand. When Laurie tells them about ice-skating, the toast is no longer in her hand.
