Corrected entry: While in the battle arena the vials with the purple R substance in them become broken, letting the gas out. All of the Pokémon seem to go crazy from it but Pikachu doesn't.
Pokémon Detective Pikachu (2019)
1 corrected entry
Directed by: Rob Letterman
Starring: Ryan Reynolds, Kathryn Newton, Suki Waterhouse, Rob Delaney
Character mistake: Some characters use the letter "s" at the end of a Pokémon's name when the plural of a Pokémon is just its name. The best example is when Pikachu says, "Roger must've sent the Greninjas to cause the car crash." Being a Pokémon himself, there's no way Pikachu, out of all characters, would say that.
Detective Pikachu: That's right, Mr. Mime. [chuckling] You're about to be Mr. Melt unless you start talking.
Trivia: There's a reference to the artificially-created Pokemon Mewtwo having escaped "twenty years ago." This is a bit of an inside joke, as the film was in production exactly twenty years after the release of the animated movie "Mewtwo Strikes Back," and that film deals with what happens after Mewtwo was created and escaped captivity.

Correction: R gas made Pokémon crazed so human minds could be transferred to them. At that point, Pikachu already had a human mind inside him.
