I rented this movie from RedBox.

A typical C movie low budge zombie film with little substance. This is supposedly a remake of the 1985 Day of the Dead film, however I never saw the original so I can't judge it based on that.

The effects are bad, the acting is terrible and the plot kinda stupid. It has an interesting idea with a zombie made from a human that has much higher immune counts than usual only partly turning and being the breakthrough they need to create a vaccine. However, it's just a bad movie. Very little saving grace about it. It's not really worth your time.

Mistake Status: I caught a few mistakes on my initial viewing of the rental. I don't have any real plans to ever revisit this film. Maybe some day if I start going through a bunch of zombie movies like I am animated hero films, I may do this one again. But Zombie movies like this are a dime a dozen.

Revealing mistake: Baca is using a pistol to shoot the zombies towards the end and still has this same pistol at the end. When he's on the ground about to shoot himself to stop from turning, it shows a close up of his pistol which reveals it's a 6mm BB gun. (01:20:15)

Alphonse: Frank, what do you miss, man? Ice cream Sundays, chicken nuggets?
Frank: I miss people shutting the fuck up.
