Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017)

Corrected entry: Alex, the pilot, could not have met Alan from Jumanji, because Alan came out of the jungle in 1995 and Alex went into the jungle in 1996.

Correction: Alex never meets Alan. He was simply living in the treehouse Alan built and had knowledge of him being in the game before.

Bishop73

Corrected entry: If the events of the first film were reversed after Alan Parrish won the game and he was returned to his own time as a boy why would his shack still exist in the game?

jbrbbt

Correction: This is a question, not a plot hole. It would seem what happens in the game stays in the game.

Adding to this, the game appears to be its own universe that's laws are not effected by what it does to Earth.

Quantom X

Corrected entry: The console being played only has 4 controllers, but 5 players are required to complete the game.

Correction: Regardless of how many controllers the console uses, it can take players one at a time or all of them at a time. It is not said there must be 5 players to finish the game, although it does make it easier.

Trivia: When the first production photos were released some months before the film came out, there was a great deal of backlash against the outfit worn by Karen Gillan "Ruby Roundhouse." Many people complained that her outfit (including short-shorts and a tight-fit crop-top) was impractical and only there to show off her body. Somewhat amusingly and ironically, that ended up being the whole point when the film was released - she's a video-game character, and her outfit is meant to be a joke on how female characters in games often wear overly revealing clothing even when it's completely nonsensical for them to do so. Gillan has defended the choice, stating "I think that when you look at that picture out of context, it is ridiculous, and that is sort of the point we were making with it."

Question: After finishing the game, did Spencer, Fridge, Bethany, and Martha still have detention or did changing the timeline prevent them from their punishment?

Cody Fairless-Lee

Answer: They still had detention. The only thing that changed was Alex. But since they had become such close friends, detention would hardly be a punishment for them anymore.

BaconIsMyBFF

It seemed like they just simply walked out of detention. I mean, did they finish their detention or did they have to continue on a Saturday?

The movie doesn't explain. But regardless, it also really doesn't matter.

TedStixon

They probably didn't go back on Saturday. When they go back to school, Spencer acts like he hasn't spoken to Martha since their adventure, while Bethany says she's been texting Martha 'all weekend'.

Brian Katcher

The principal did say that if they didn't finish sorting the old magazines, they would have to finish the next day; though whether or not they did is unclear.
