Continuity mistake: Gardner Lodge first takes a bite from the corner of the peanut butter and jelly sandwich and sets it back on the plate. The camera angle changes and when he is seen holding the sandwich again the bite is now taken from the middle of the sandwich. (01:28:55)
Continuity mistake: The car used in the Mayers' driveway and in which they are seen driving was a '52 - '53 Oldsmobile. Yet the "Mayers'" vehicle they wrecked and burned later in the film was a '53 - '54 Chevrolet.
Continuity mistake: Gardner Lodge is eating his sandwich and talking to his son. The level of milk in the glass is different when the camera angle changes from behind Gardner to behind his son.
