Character mistake: John Lithgow is 'Doug Whitaker', however, in the scene where they invite him onstage for the improv act, they ask for John Whitaker to come on stage.
Suggested correction: First off, Lithgow's name is Don, not Doug. And that's what the improv woman says, "Don Whitaker."
Factual error: The tubing scene was filmed at Nashoba Valley in Westford, MA. The scene looking down from the top of the tubing run has a banner with the name of the ski area and the "mountains" in the background scene are photoshopped in.
Trivia: Mel Gibson (born in 1956) is only fifteen years older than his on-screen son Mark Wahlberg (born in 1971).
