Continuity mistake: In the first scene, Barry's co-pilot has 3 bars (First Officer) while on the ground and 4 bars (Captain) while in the air.
Continuity mistake: Barry makes love with his wife inside the plane. In the close-up she has a red strap covering her face, which disappears in the wide angle.
Continuity mistake: The first time Barry flies coke, an air traffic controller takes a cigarette to his lips. When the angle changes it's in his fingers.
Factual error: Barry Seal is taken with the guys of the drug-kartel in a yellow helicopter. There is an internet address on the side of the helicopter, half covered by the door, entirely inappropriate for the timeframe of the early 80's. (00:17:20)
