Factual error: Alva and Owen go see the movie "One Way Passage", released in October 1932. The movie takes places in August, the year is not stated explicitly, but there's a wall calendar in the dining room at the boarding house (you can see it when Legate leaves, calling himself a fink) for 1934, and at the same time the date shown in the office (when Redford sits at the desk to decide who will get pink slips) is August 14, Friday, which would set the movie in 1931.
This Property Is Condemned (1966)
1 factual error - chronological order
Directed by: Sydney Pollack
Starring: Robert Redford, Charles Bronson, Natalie Wood, Kate Reid
Continuity mistake: When Mama does the fateful reveal, in the close-ups she keeps the coat open, hands on the lapel, while in the wider angle she has it closed, hands in pocket. (01:45:25)
Alva Starr: New Orleans is certainly not a place where a person needs to feel the pain of separation for long.
Trivia: Kate Reid was only 8 years older than Natalie Wood, who plays her daughter.
