Continuity mistake: In the last helicopter scene the General's rank changes from 1 star on his hat to 2 stars on his collar.
Continuity mistake: Early in the movie, Mac throws the dead green berets' dog tags to Dutch. As he catches them, Dutch has his hand closed in a fist, and the dog tags are hanging to the left. But in the close-up shot where we can read the name, his fingers are more open, with the tags resting in his palm.
Continuity mistake: In the chopper, as Arnold asks about the backup, you can see Poncho sitting on the other side of Dillon. It's not until later in the scene where Poncho moves from his seat and sits next to Dillon for the remainder of the scene.
Continuity mistake: When Mac calls to Dillon about the scorpion you can see that there wasn't one on his back to begin with.
Continuity mistake: While the team are hearing the music on the chopper, the pushed buttons on the recorder change - the third one, then the fourth, then none.
Continuity mistake: Before the team finds the crashed chopper Dutch has just a bit of camouflage on his face but after that he has more.
Continuity mistake: At the beginning while Dutch meets with Dillon the cigar in his hands disappears and reappears between shots.
Continuity mistake: The bullet riddled tree that Poncho is hiding behind changes. It goes from severely riddled to not as much damage.
Chosen answer: Yes. The predator can be seen not in the immediate shot after, but the one a few seconds later as they are seen walking away.

Before or after Ramirez gets hit in the face with the branch?
About 3 seconds before. If you look VERY closely (probably needing to pause the screen around 00:40:55 - about a minute after Billy said, "There's something in the trees"), there appears to be a transparent image of The Predator in the background above the major's (Arnold's) right shoulder. If this is meant to be The Predator, its body is curved around a tree trunk and its arms are extended toward the right of the screen (near Arnold's right ear), camouflaged as green leaves.

The Predator - in a recognizable form - really wasn't visible until another minute later @ 00:41:55 when it was on the ground approaching Hawkins and the woman.

That's a tree, not the predator. We see Billy and Dutch head on in "predator vision" as they're talking, which means the predator is directly in front and slightly above them (unknown distance). The thing you're referring to would be in the wrong position.
No, it can't. I've just been through this several times and the predator isn't shown on screen at any time during or just after after the conversation.
