Other mistake: Rose was upset because she wouldn't be seeing brother Eric after he left for college, so it is implied that the university is some distance from their home. It doesn't make sense that Eric wore a blue high school "M" letter jacket that appeared to match the color scheme and logo of the University of M - (unclear) he would be attending or that he would go to practice in full uniform at his high school football field with friends a mere six days before leaving for college to play football.
Other mistake: At the end of the movie the soldiers handcuff Farid despite the fact that he only has one hand.
Other mistake: Boxer tells Jordon, later in the film in 2021, that Trip Granger died of a drug overdose 6 months after his heart transplant. The transplant was done Nov. 6 2014. However, earlier in 2021, Boxer was looking at a funeral card for Trip, which stated he died in 2014 (1984-2014). (01:07:13 - 01:21:19)
Other mistake: At the beginning of the movie, Shriek reads an article mentioning that Cletus' story is "coming to an end", and Eddie is credited with uncovering "what the FBI and police could not " That doesn't fit with Eddie supposedly down on his luck and badly needing a scoop; and in fact the tagline is the same that will appear in printed and audio news later when Eddie does rise to fame again by discovering the bodies. Also, the article talks about Eddie Brock, but somehow is WRITTEN BY Eddie Brock.
Other mistake: When Al Pacino reads the magazine (Grazia) with the news of Maurizio's wedding, the article is probably a reproduction (with the actors' picture in place of the actual Maurizio and Patrizia) of a news story about the actual wedding, so the details conflict entirely with the fabricated story. You can easily read (in Italian of course) that they met in 1971 (1978 in this movie), there are over 500 guests to the wedding (much more of a private affair here) and Maurizio had to ask some of his friends to introduce Patrizia to him and asked her out, which is the opposite of what happens here. (00:28:40)
Other mistake: When Zoe Levenson first looks out the window from the spaceship, the earth is from the bottom moving towards the top, this is opposite to the ship spinning direction, which can be determined by the direction of the gravity. (00:12:50)
Other mistake: When Cole gets in to drive, he puts it in gear to drive, then starts driving in reverse. (00:22:50)
Other mistake: When the helicopter was flying toward and over Apex Island, the helicopter (as well as the similarly-sized box) was about 1/10 or 1/12 the width of the island. In the next view, from almost ground-level, the helicopter was about as wide as one pine tree. (00:10:30)
Other mistake: Tom told David and Lily, "Whoever murdered that girl [Jessica] didn't have sex with her. They used a corn cob." The crime scene photo of the "corn cob" actually showed a partially opened "husk of corn" or "ear of corn." The "cob" is the inner part of the ear beneath the kernels of corn and could more realistically be used to "assault" someone. (00:33:30 - 00:38:30)
Other mistake: At the Night Driver gallery showing, Haley is reading from a program that describes Anthony's "Say My Name" piece. The text states that Helen Lyle died from "self-emulation" instead of "self-immolation", immolation meaning death by fire.
Other mistake: The issued sidearm for the Spanish National Police is the H&K USP 9mm Compact, which has a capacity of 13+1 bullets, and the Civil Guards' is the Beretta 92fs/M9, which is a 9mm and has a magazine capacity of 15+1 bullets. As of 2020 the Beretta is being phased out for the H&K USP C. The police officer fires a total of 5 bullets from his Beretta then the slide locks back because its dry. He has no magazines for reloads either. I highly doubt the Spanish police issues 5 bullets to their officers. (00:33:00 - 00:35:30)
Other mistake: It is highly unlikely that Troy's body would have ended up on his back that far away from the side of the house and facing the window Jake pushed him out of. (01:27:10 - 01:27:35)
Other mistake: Sharyn was hooked up to an IV catheter somewhere in her upper arm (underneath her gown's short sleeve). The IV's location is unusual because IV catheters are usually placed in an easily accessible location, such as the back of the hand or forearm. When Sharyn ran out of her room, she apparently ripped out the IV without injuring the injection site or causing any bleeding. After being returned to her room from her escape attempt, she no longer required IV therapy (wasn't hooked up). (00:06:30 - 00:07:34)
Other mistake: In the first two minutes of the film the registration number of the small aeroplane is written in reverse. (00:01:48)
Other mistake: When searching the missing kids database, the date given for when Malia went missing is 7th January 2021. When Rain receives a text message from Caileb the message is dated April 18 2019. (00:56:11 - 01:13:11)
Other mistake: In the kitchen fight scene Maggie Q's weapon fires on automatic (without a magazine) when she is knocked to the floor by Michael K, but when she jumps over the table her weapon is and fires as a shotgun.
Suggested correction: She always has a shotgun, her weapon doesn't change.
Other mistake: Jane's top includes a scarf that is wrapped around her neck a few times. She starts to remove the scarf by unwrapping it clockwise. When the camera shifts, and she resumes unwrapping the scarf, she goes counterclockwise. (00:20:55)
Other mistake: The way the man fell onto the hood and then the road, landing on his back, after Sami hit him from behind while going fast defies physics. He also landed too far to the left of the driver's side for being hit with the middle of the front bumper. (00:35:41)
Other mistake: Liam Neeson jumps into ice water to rescue his brother. He then painfully pulls his brother into the cab of the truck. Inside, he revives his brother after which they have a lengthy conversation. Liam's Mike McCann never starts the truck engine or turns the heater up, even though he and his brother are soaked to the skin and the brother is coughing up ice water from his lungs. In the next scene, both appear dry, in the same clothing, with no signs of hypothermia.
Other mistake: Det. Martinez told Peter he couldn't do anything about his belief that Charles was in his penthouse (and took his dog) without the necessary evidence. However, the detective filed stalking charges against Peter based on Charles' statement that he was being stalked, which was without evidence. The charge of stalking was also far-fetched and the detective should have had enough sense to realise that Charles would not be in fear of his safety over Peter's presence or behavior.
