Other mistake: When Uncle Joey was on the phone talking to his sister and when he got to her house to pick up his niece and nephew, he did not have a circular red cut or rash above his right eyebrow. The red area also could not be seen most of the time when he was driving, but at a couple points it was visible - despite the visor on his cap blocking out light and its visibility. At the campgrounds, Uncle Joey wore a headband but it wasn't needed to conceal the red area like the cap was - the red area was gone. (00:07:10 - 00:11:26)
Other mistake: The crossbow arrow that went through Jamie's shoulder area had different positions/angles and was not always visible (in front or back) when it should have been. The crossbow arrow also did not seem to be long enough. It was not a mini crossbow arrow (3-4" where in front with maybe 5" in the back and a mini is only about 6.3" total); regular lengths are typically 14" - 20"+. (01:15:10 - 01:17:00)
Revealing mistake: Scottie (with Jamie) drove away in a blue four-wheeler that had a cab area (front windshield, roof, and four support bars or frame). At times, the four-wheeler did not appear to have a roof, the windshield was not visible, and the frame was gone - indicating they were not in an actual four-wheeler during these filming times. Revealing mistake: After Jamie told Scottie, "Dad would have been proud of you", she was shown against a mountain background - but she was in the woods surrounded by trees. (01:06:15)
Continuity mistake: Within a fraction of a second after Scottie put his multi-tool camping (or Swiss Army) knife against a can of vegetables, the lid was open with jagged edges from the can opener. The near-instant opening of cans happened two times. (01:05:29)
Continuity mistake: A back view of the group of four-wheelers starting out driving through the field showed distinct tire tracks in mostly low, dry brown grass. Various other views showed little or no discernible tire tracks, tall lush green grass, and mixed dry brown and green grass. Even though the four-wheelers appeared to travel some distance, the end of the field that was visible from the onset was just reached. (00:21:35)
