When one of Patrick's goons (Dwayne) enters the barn, the dogs change within a few seconds. The two black dogs are suddenly gone and a brown dog takes their place. Continuity mistake: While eating dinner, Lauren has a glass of wine setting on a black coaster. After a scene change and return to the dinner table, an aerial view shows the coaster without the wine glass on it (and the wine glass is missing from the table). (00:38:32 - 00:40:18)
Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the movie, the real estate agent greets the McKenzies, lovers of all things open. The potential clients hold the papers in a completely different way at the cut ("I was just telling the Breckins that..." etc). (00:01:15)
Continuity mistake: At the Internet Store, Spencer was told his house was "right outside" the service area, internet was not available, and a satellite would not work. At the Phone Store, Chad told Lynn and Zoe they were in the "dead zone." When Lynn answered Spencer's call by putting her head out the upstairs window, she said, "The service is great up here." Lynn and Zoe could listen to the news on their cell phone in the kitchen and Zoe read about asteroids just outside the front door. Internet worked? (00:04:53 - 00:28:00)
Continuity mistake: The two men (Arabs) sitting at the table in front of Schultz had different amounts of wine in their glasses when the camera "made a 180." Both men had their glasses about half full. After the next camera shift, their glasses returned to their previous levels. The man on the right had about 1" of wine and the man on the left had a trace of wine in his glass. (00:51:28)
Continuity mistake: The position of the sword on the table varies. The doctor originally set it roughly parallel to the edge of the table, but sometimes it was at an angle. Also, the ribbon where the blade meets the handle usually has a prop on it to keep the handle raised. (00:19:34 - 00:22:06)
Continuity mistake: The way Franck's scarf was wrapped and tied around his neck changed from when he was sitting on the steps (wrapped around a few times with ends folded under) to when he was standing along the guard rail (a loop down the middle of his chest). (00:15:09)
Continuity mistake: In the initial view of Billy in the tree ("saved for later" by the leopard sleeping on another branch), his head is hanging face up alongside a tree branch as wide as his head. When the camera zooms in showing the middle of Billy's face, the left side of the screen should be all brown, representing the branch. Instead, there is blue sky down to his eye and blurred tan/brown representing the branch. The brown might supposed to be the dried grass, but Billy has not moved his head. (00:51:25)
Continuity mistake: A back view of the group of four-wheelers starting out driving through the field showed distinct tire tracks in mostly low, dry brown grass. Various other views showed little or no discernible tire tracks, tall lush green grass, and mixed dry brown and green grass. Even though the four-wheelers appeared to travel some distance, the end of the field that was visible from the onset was just reached. (00:21:35)
Continuity mistake: Venom is drawing hyper-fast parts of the material they ogled on the wall of Kasady's cell. On Eddy's messy desk there's a sheet with data from California State University, very recognizable for the colors and shape of the graph. When they draw the tree, notice that the sheet turns 90° multiple times between shots without Venom touching it. (00:10:50)
Continuity mistake: When the cop is talking to the gas station security manager the security man has his badge on the right of his shirt. The following camera shot shows it on his left and then swaps back again when they go to look at the security cameras. (01:01:00)
Continuity mistake: Hannah is wearing a blue jersey when she is outside the tower and when she goes inside to answer the phone. She tells Ryan she will call back on the SAT phone (for personal calls). Hannah is next seen sitting on the edge of a Boulder overlooking the mountains, talking to Ryan. She is now wearing a brown top and tan pants. The same conversation is occurring, but when there is a side view of Hannah, she is suddenly wearing a brown jacket with fur trim and light blue jeans. Continuity mistake: After talking with Bullock on the roof, Batman is in his vehicle and talking to Hugo. On the screen, Hugo lifts up a glass to his mouth to take a drink, but when the camera cuts to a close up of the screen, suddenly his arm is lower, and he is once again lifting the glass to his face. Continuity mistake: After the intro, the scene dissolves into a map that resembles the branches that trapped Aguirre. A shot later the design of the map is different.
Continuity mistake: The way "H" was lying on the road after getting shot was different in the aerial view shown shortly thereafter. H's body motions after getting shot were awkward enough - falling backwards but somehow managing to twist his body so that he could land facing the culprits. His body ended up being at about a 45°angle to the road barricades, but was parallel in the aerial view. Also, the road barriers would have blocked his view of the shooter and the ability of the shooter to look into his eyes. (01:13:35 - 01:13:56)
Continuity mistake: Rudy looks at the candy cane, which is broken off at the handle/arc. Rudy sucks on the candy cane while he talks to his mum on the phone. When Rudy removes the candy cane from his mouth, the curved part is longer than when he first puts it in his mouth. (00:08:40)
